so gotta love it when you work a shift that, due to waxing, requires you to sit there and read a book.
the people waxing got done early, though, so managed to work some of the candy (as per my job).
and replace tags as needed...for some reason, the full-time person (who worked night crew, that includes replacing tags) hasn't picked up (despite working that...

Blown in insulation is meant to fill voids in walls and blanket attics. It goes in dry. It is fluffy and stringy. 10 bags would put 12 inches of insulation in my attic. It is the messiest stuff ever! Kinda like the stuffing in a pillow.

He could be on SS and an increase in pay could cost him dearly when it comes to badly needed assistance ... many of my tenants are in such a situation.
so last night, while working, a co-worker and I agreed....we need a night out for a bitch session. one of those where you gather together some of the more disgruntled employees (the ones who pick up on things and such) and we go out somewhere and just bitch about anything, getting it out of our system.
our concern....who do we invite? and who won't go...

I agree with Tunnel. Take it directly to management. They always go apeshit on everyone when they hear shit second hand. But then again, my boss goes apeshit when I tell her she is an idiot. I am master of the lose=lose situation

All my wiring cabinets require me to be on a step ladder. See the issue with that! LOL
so a little sore from yesterday....the shift ended up being 7 hours long (add 1/2 lunch break in there) instead of 6...and here's how it went...
first hour spent cleaning....really sweeping up the front end.
called in to run register (mind you, I'm dressed to work outside in rain and 40 F weather...so t-shirt, long sleeve shirt, sweatshirt, jacket, and work shirt in layers). I...

Worse! I just plowed a bunch of it away from the garage. The mud flat is now 2 foot deep in the low spot i plowed it into. It will take 50 lbs of seed to cover it.
I still have a bunch of plowing to do on the driveway. I need to lower the driveway about 4 more inches. Then i'll base it with 2 tri-axles of bank run (rocks the size of baseballs).
Atleast it was draining this year, last year was even worse. The guy who owned this place before was an idiot.

Yup. Mine doesn't leave the paths this time of the year. They tear the shit out of everything, hence my my driveway is such a mess. The guy before me didn't understand drainage and filled the driveway so the water lays in it. Add a tractor and it become a nasty mess. Its so bad I am grading it all out and starting over. Eventually It will be concrete.
thank you one and all for the birthday wishes...I pretty much spent the day doing very little.
woke up, did some laundry, a little cleaning and took a shower. visited my cousin at his store, met the family at Panera for dinner, home for cake, and in bed early. I was hoping to be called by Greece to sub today, but that didn't happen.

well, lunch with my dad wasn't too bad. evidently Wegmans might be trying to recruit him. he would be great to work with....I worked with him one time at a Machine Shop when he was my supervisor. he got the respect of everyone around him.

The mounting brackets and headlight are an assembly. The adjusters your talking about better come with an assembly or they are ripping you off.

in about 1 1/2 hours, I'm having lunch with my dad. have to realize, I'm not sure when the last time I saw him was....all I know is that it was sometime last year. my sister and I called him on Christmas, but we never saw him around Christmas. our schedules never matched up (odd, since he's not working).

When I worked in a grocery store. They would work people 3 weeks at 36-40 hours then the 4th week cut the hours to nothing. This keeps them from having to classify you as a full time employee.
jermhawk:
The small ones it would, the bigger ones i would have to dig around then cut the tap root. Couldn't attempt to pull them out until the ground thawed anyways. Then the tractor would tear the hell out of the place. It is also a good way to flip the thing since it wouldn't have enough to pull backwards. I would be better of getting a backhoe but it would still tear the place to hell. That would also require an equipment trade to a friend so he could brushhog with mine while i use his. Instead I'm cutting them just below ground level then covering them with mulch and top soil next year. Its much easier, Its just slow since chainsaws don't like dirt.
Since they are locust trees and will sprout for years I will bore holes in the stumps and apply battery acid to kill the roots. If I wanted to wait a couple years to plant the trees I would treat the whole bank with calcium chloride to kill everything.

...and another reason to hate my job....
some guy is friends with the store manager, so he asks her to put him in the accounting office, getting about 20 hours a week (after the accounting manager stated she had no room) and constantly screws things up.
I ask for a day off next week, and being the fastest cashier and someone who busts his ass...

I still have it.
It happened when my place in NY got robbed. When I moved back to PA they wouldn't forward a replacement so they had to put the PA address on it.
Because all my documentation was stolen it took a long time to get it all back.
