#1 About the site

1.1 What is SuicideGirls?

For a good rundown of what SuicideGirls is, you should check out our little tour. To learn more about the history of SuicideGirls and the people that work here, take a look at our about page.

1.2 Can I take pictures for SuicideGirls?

Maybe, you should e-mail a link to your portfolio to photographycoordinator@suicidegirls.com. You should hear back from her shortly with further information if she likes your work.

1.3 The staff wasn't fair to me, who can I make an appeal to?

No one. Whining about things not being fair is for grade school kids and college professors. Those of us who live in the real world think you should shut up and move on.

1.4 Hey! Why don't you start a suicideboys.com? That's a great idea!

Man, that IS a great idea! Actually, I'm sorry, but someone already thought of it. Suicideboys is just one of the many member groups we have here at SG. Anyone can join up to post their own pictures or just check out all the fine tail. There's no application or screening process, but neither do SBs get paid. It's just for fun.

#2 How do I

2.1 How do I log in?

You log in in by clicking the pink LOGIN button in the top left corner of any page. If you are having trouble finding the login button, you should update your browser.

2.2 How do I access the site on my mobile phone?

Just point your mobile browser to: http://suicidegirls.com. We now have ONE mobile friendly version of the site.

#3 About the girls

3.1 Can I model for SuicideGirls?

Maybe. Everything you ever wanted to know about being a model for SuicideGirls can be found in our Girls FAQ. You can apply to model by filling out a model application. We get close to 3000 applications a week, so if it takes us a little while to get back to you, please be patient.

3.2 Who are the SuicideGirls?

The SuicideGirls are exceptionally interesting and stylish beautiful women from all over the world. They are the most crush worthy women we could find on the planet, the girls with style and grace and sexiness that we love.

3.3 If I message a SuicideGirl, will she write me back?

It depends on what you write. These are real girls and are not paid to respond to you or to lead you on. Most of the girls genuinely enjoy receiving messages and will reply to you if you say something interesting to them. A bad opening line: You have a great ass, wanna screw? A better opening line: I thought the photos of you were very beautiful. In your profile you said your favorite movie was Zero Effect, did you know that the guy who wrote it and directed it was only 21?

3.4 How do you decide on themes of the photosets?

We don't. The girls pick out their own outfits, themes, do their own hair and make-up. Each set a girl submits is to us is her impression of what she thinks is sexy or cute. Some of the girls even take their own pictures of themselves.

4.10 I'm having a problem, who can I contact?

Well, peruse the FAQ, and if you don't find any answers you can visit the a help request and submit your problem. Please do not email the staff directly as they don't check their email as often as what gets submitted to the help form. #5 Your Account: Passwords and Account Settings

5.1 I forgot my password/my password isn't working, what do i do??

First, make sure your cookies are enabled in your browser. Second, make sure the password you enter is the exact one you chose, passwords are case sensitive so if your password is: JakE and you enter: jake, it won't accept it. If it's still not working, go to the help page and enter your email address into the password troubles box. Your password will be changed and a new one will be sent to you.

5.2 My password was emailed to me - was my account hacked!?

No, your account was not hacked. You can request for your password to be changed on the help page page by entering the email address on your account into the password troubles box. This is the only way your password will be sent out, and it will only be sent to the email address on your account. You will need to use the new password specified in the email to log into the site.

5.3 How can I change my password?

Click the gear on the top left of the suicidegirls.com homepage. Click preferences > account. From there you can change your password!

5.4 Can I share my account with my friends?

Everytime you let a friend sign in to the site with your username and password, a SuicideGirl cries. If the system catches two computers logged in at the same time browsing the site, your account will be terminated and you will not be given a refund. If there are too many seperate IPs accessing the site in a set period of time your account will be terminated and you will not be given a refund. If you're identifying yourself as two different people, you will first be warned to get two accounts, and then your account will be terminated.

5.5 What kind of behavior can get my account suspended?

Having a public profile that allows you to post to the boards is a right that is very easily lost. The general rule of thumb is do not scare or make uncomfortable any other members or SuicideGirls and do not make the jobs of the people who work on this site harder then need be. Do not make racist or sexist remarks. Do not attempt to hack the site or run scripts on the site. Do not use a fraudulent credit card when joining the site. Do not violate our terms of service.

5.6 I'm still having problems, who can I contact??

Submit a help request and we'll get back to you with a solution! Please make sure to include all the information about your problem so we can get back to you faster, and remember if you are having technical issues to include what browser you are running and whether you are on a PC or a Mac. #6 Your Account: Profile and Blog

6.1 How to I change my password or email address?

Go to Your Home page and then click on the ACCOUNT tab (or go here). You can change your password, email and payment info there.

6.2 Can I put swear words in my profile?

No. And fuck you for asking, you asshole.

6.3 I can't set my date of birth. I'm getting an error.

You must be over 18 to have an account with SuicideGirls. If, for a joke, you're trying to make yourself to be 3, well, you deserve all the errors you get, don't you?

6.4 How do I change my username?

You can't.

6.5 How do I change my profile picture?

Go to your profile page by clicking on your profile pic/username in the upper left hand corner of the screen. Click the yellow CHANGE PHOTO button that sits above your current profile picture to change the picture.

You'll need to sit tight for a few seconds after Filepicker closes, but almost immediately after we'll give you the option to Crop and Save your new profile picture. It can take some time to change on the site, so don't freak out if it doesn't change right away. If it still doesn't appear after a while, try clearing your cache.

Clearing your cache on most PC browsers Hold down the control (CTRL) key and the F5 key together to clear your cache. If this does not work, go to Tools, Options, click on the Clear History, then click on the Delete Files button.

Clearing your cache on Safari (Mac OSX) Hold down the option key, the apple key, and the e key all together to clear your cache. If your browser isn't listed here, use your browsers help to find out how to clear your cache. If it hasn't changed after 24 hours, then your picture was probably not sized correctly so you should check the dimensions and make sure it is 235 x 175 pixels.

6.6 What size profile picture should I upload?

Profile pictures are 1214 x 882px. SG is optimized for retina displays, so the bigger the better!

6.7 How do I update my blog?

You can update your blog from any page on SuicideGirls by clicking the PLUS ICON in the upper right hand corner of your screen. Once clicked, you'll be presented with 3 tabs, the default being +BLOG.

Enter the title of your blog by click anywhere in the white text field, under "What's On Your Mind?" (titles can be up to 140 characters long) then type your blog text in the field below. You can format the body of your text using any of the light grey buttons below.

You can choose whether your blog is visible to the entire internet (PUBLIC), to SG members only (MEMBERS ONLY), or just the people who follow you (FOLLOWERS ONLY) using the dark grey drop-down menu in the bottom left-hand corner of the window.

Click the green "POST BLOG" button to publish the blog on your page. That's it!

6.8 How do I make my blog visible to SG members only?

Use the grey pulldown on the bottom left and select "MEMBERS ONLY". This means that only logged in SuicideGirls members can read your entry. Please bear in mind, your mom could be a member. Really. If you fear this may be the case, you can also choose "FOLLOWERS ONLY" so that only your SuicideGirl Friends can see that blog.

Blogs (and albums) with the PUBLIC setting will be viewable to anyone regardless if they are a member.

EDITING PRIVACY ON EXISTING POSTS: Click the GEAR icon and EDIT. Scroll to the bottom and use the pulldown to change the privacy settings. Make sure you click the green "EDIT POST" button to save your changes.

6.9 How do I edit/delete my blog?

Click the GEAR ICON then EDIT or DELETE. If you're editing your blog, make sure to click the green EDIT POST button when you're done.

Once you delete a blog it's gone forever.

6.10 How do I add a link or an image to my blog entry?

You can add a link by just typing it out in full like so: http://suicidegirls.com/ or you can click where it says URL next to "insert:" you'll then get two pop-ups, one for the word you want to be the link, and one for the web address.

To post an image, click ATTACH from the bar below the text area to launch Filepicker. Simply drag one or multiple files over to the area that says "DRAG FILES HERE" or use the green "CHOOSE FILE"button to select the files directly from your computer.

You can also upload images images from Facebook, Instagram, Flickr, Dropbox, and Gmail. Select one of the options from the left hand side, connect your account, browse and then select the images you wish to upload.

If you would like to include an image from the web, select the +LINK (URL) button at the bottom of the list. Copy and Paste the URL of your image (http://example.com/someImage.jpg) and upload.

To find the address of an image:

On PC Right click on the image and select "properties". The image location or address will be listed in the box that pops up. You can cut and paste this address.

On Mac Control click the image and select "view image in new window". Highlight the address in the address bar and cut and paste it.

6.11 How do I mention someone in my blog?

Just type @username and the person you mention will receive a notification and a link will be generated to their profile. It's as easy as that.

#7 Your Account: Pics and Videos

7.1 How do I upload a photo?

Click on the + sign in the top righthand corner of any page. From there, click on the + PHOTO tab. Simply drag one or multiple files over to the area that says "DRAG FILES HERE" or use the green "CHOOSE FILE" button to select the files directly from your computer. Once your photo(s) is done uploading, click 'Post photo' and you're done! Go crazy!

Uploading one image will create a "Single Photo Post", whereas uploading multiple images will create an "Album". You are able to edit, delete, or add more photos to both of these at any time.

7.2 I'm having trouble uploading pictures. Help!

You should see a Green Confirmation Message at the top of your screen after you post a photo/album. In the event that you see a Red Error message, try holding down shift and click the refresh or reload button on your browser. If that doesn't help try clearing your cache.

7.3 I logged in but I am still seeing the SG logo in place of images, why?

Clear your browsers cache and you will see the correct image. If this happens often, you can adjust your cache settings so it checks for the correct image every time. On most PC browsers Hold down the control (CTRL) key and the F5 key together to clear your cache. If this does not work, go to Tools, Options, click on the Clear History, then click on the Delete Files button. On Safari (Mac OSX) Hold down the option key, the apple key, and the e key all together to clear your cache. If your browser isn't listed here, or you don't know how to clear your cache, check your browsers help.

7.4 How do I post an image in my blog or in a group?

7.5 How do I edit my album or delete pictures?

Go to the album and click on the GEAR ICON then EDIT (the gear icon sits on the same line as the date, to the left of the Like and Share buttons). Once on the Edit screen you will be able to change the Title, Description, Delete or Add images.

TO REARRANGE IMAGES: Drag and drop images in the order you'd like. The first 6 images in your album, will appear as the preview. After you're done, click the green "SAVE CHANGES" button.

TO DELETE THE ALBUM: Scroll all the way to the bottom of the edit screen nd you will see a check mark with a caption to delete the album. Clicking it will turn it green, then click DELETE ALBUM.

7.6 Can I link the pictures I uploaded outside of SuicideGirls?

Yes, but only if your Privacy Settings for the album are set to Public. "Members Only" and "Followers Only" posts are only viewable to logged in SuicideGirls members, so there is no point linking them outside SG. People who are not logged in to SuicideGirls will see an ad.

7.7 How can I upload a video? What can my video be like?

Click the + sign in the upper righthand corner and then click the +VIDEO tab.

Desktop: Drag and drop a video from your desktop or attach videos manually from your computer by clicking on the green "Choose File" button.

Phone/Tablet: Tap the green "Select A File" button to either take a new video or select an existing one from your device.

It could take a few minutes for your video to appear, so don't worry if you don't see it right away. We'll send you a notification once it's ready to view!

Your video can be anything you want as long as it is your own video and does not include copyrighted material. You can be naked, but please no porn.

7.8 What kinds of files can I upload? How big can it be?

Your video must be either a Quicktime, fla, avi, mpeg, real or windows file and it must be under 100mb, or shorter than 10 minutes long.

7.9 My video isn't uploading! What the crap?

If you received a green confirmation message you should be good ok. Just remember that it could take a few minutes for your video to appear.

If you receive a red error message at the top of your browser, something definitely went wrong. If that's the case, make sure your video is one of the accepted file types and that it is under 100mb. If it's a correct file type, it should go through.

Still can't get it to work? Try uploading it to Youtube, if possible. If it works there, it should work here. If it doesn't, you're using some weird format even the world's largest video uploading site can't read, and should probably look into using a different type of video.

7.10 How do I embed a video in my blog/group?

Click the EMBED button below the text area, then Copy and Paste the video's embed code.

You must use the embed code and not the video's URL.

7.11 What are tags?

Tags are a good way to find photosets that have similar elements, such as themes, hair color or tattoos. Tags are not the place to leave comments.

7.12 What are examples of good and bad tags?

GOOD TAGS "Red hair", "full sleeve", "pierced nipples", "white background", and "underwater" are all good tags. They're specific enough to be helpful, and common enough to be found in other photosets. A general rule is that if it describes something that's in the set (preferably something prominent or distinctive, like an unusual object, or a dominant background color), it's probably okay to tag it. Yes, good tags are boring. If you want to be funny, go to the Silliness board, or leave your "tag" as a comment on the girl's set.

BAD TAGS Tags like "naked", "eyes", and "ass" are applicable to every single photoset on the site and don't help. Don't just tag "feet," say something about the feet in question, if they're so remarkable that they're noteworthy. Likewise, you don't need to point out that a girl is "beautiful" or "hot." It's pretty much a given that someone is going to think that about every girl on the site, and your opinion doesn't make it a good tag. Full sentences are unnecessary, as is punctuation. Obviously anything insulting will not be tolerated. Tags like these are deleted, and getting several tags deleted (for whatever reason) will get you banned from tagging and possibly from the site depending on the offense.

Tags are not the place for inside jokes or things that only make sense to you.

The tags section on a set is not the Silliness board. Specially-trained teams of anal-retentive tag nazis who hate fun and have no sense of humor (they have day jobs in accounting) will delete "bad" tags regardless of how funny they are.

7.13 I can't tag a set! What's up?

When this happens, someone has turned off tagging on that set. An SG can turn off tagging for all of her sets so that only she can tag them, and if one of the girls in a multiple-girl set has them turned off, none of her multiple-girl sets will be able to be tagged by anyone other than the participants.

#8 Your Account: Followers

8.1 How do I follow someone?

You can visit the person's profile that you wish to follow, and click the "+FOLLOW" under their member name

8.2 Why can't I follow certain people?

You can request to follow anyone. Some people may have their settings so that they have to approve their followers. If they think you're a creep, they may not approve you. Thus, you can not follow them. Creep.

8.3 How can I stop people from following me?

Go to your preferences page and you'll see "Your Site Settings." Under "Account Privacy" make sure that little pink arrow is next to "You approve all followers." If somebody started following you before you had a chance to change these settings, view their profile and click on "Vital Stats." Then click on the RED circle with the line through it. This will block them. They will not be notified and will no longer be following you.

8.4 How I stop following someone?

Oh, it's like that is it? Go to their profile and click on the "+FOLLOWING" tab. It will turn into "+FOLLOW" and voala! You no longer care about that person!

#9 Groups

9.1 Who are Lil Tuffy and the mods?

They're site moderators who help keep the site a nice place to be. When they talk, we listen!

9.2 Can I be a moderator too?

SG Moderator is an invite only position; we don't take applications. Invitations are extended to those who are established pillars of sanity and calm within the community.

9.3 My topic was closed or deleted and I'm pissed, what can I do about it?

Cancel your membership and go somewhere else in protest. If a thread is closed or deleted and you wish to continue discussing the issue and you decide to post another thread on the same topic or one in protest of the deletion your account will prohibited from posting to the site in the future.

9.4 I joined a group but I can't post to it!

You probably joined a private group. This means that your membership to the group has to be approved by the group administrator. Just give it a few days, and when you're approved an email will show up to let you know.

9.5 What's up with regional groups? Why are there so many requirements to join?

The most common entry requirement for a regional group is for you to have a few blog entries, and maybe a few friends -- the local groups are active, and they like adding people who will contribute. A lot of the larger regional groups, especially Los Angeles and San Francisco, have stricter requirements, and for a very good reason. A lot of regional events take place at members' houses. In regional groups, you might wind up finding out people's real names, where they work, where they live, what their phone number is, and other personal things like that. LA and SF also are home to a lot of Suicidegirls. The entry requirements are to make sure you're not a creepy person, a stalker-type, or a jerk. Regional group owners tend to be protective of the people in their groups -- we'd hate to see a Sucidegirl get stalked through a regional group, or a member's house get trashed by an asshole at a regional group party, or anything like that (and these things used to happen before the entry requirements got put in place). It's really just to keep everyone safe and happy and having a good time.

9.6 I want my own group. How can I get it?

Apply for your own group using the "add a group" form on the groups page. We'll cast an eye over it, and if we think the group is worthwhile, we'll approve it. Groups must be approved by the moderators before you can see them. Do not submit your request again. Just wait a bit and you'll get an email about your group soon.

9.7 Why wasn't my group request approved?

The reason for this could be that there is already a group that covers the topic you proposed, or that it wasn't considered suitable for the site. For more information about why your group might not have been approved, you can check out this thread on the boards.

9.8 I want to have an SG event in my group, can I just make one?

Anyone can create a group event and use a regional group to promote the event. The only thing we ask is you do not allow people who have been removed from the SG Community at your events. If you can't follow this rule, you will be removed from the group and no longer allowed to post your events in the future. If you wish to have an event where anyone can be invited, simply do not use SG to promote the event. When you add an event to a group, you can choose to publish it publically on the main SG calendar by checking "This event is open to the public" box.

9.9 I took some pics at an SG event, can I post them to my group?

Sure. Just be sure not to post any pics of SuicideGirl or member nudity. This is an issue of respect and permission. If you wish to post a picture of yourself nude at an event that is OK, but not of any other members or SuicideGirls, even if you think you have their permission. If you want to send the photo to the person who is nude, they are free to post the picture of themself.

9.10 Our group owner is AWOL! How can we get a new one?

If your group needs a new owner, what you should do is vote on who you want (or have the old owner appoint someone) and then have the old owner send a help request with the name of the group and the name of the new owner. We will change the group ownership for you. If the old owner is unavailable, just have a vote for the new owner in your group (so that we can know it's not a hostile takeover) and have the new owner submit the help request instead.

9.11 How do I leave a group?

Directly under the group name, on the left hand side is a link that says LEAVE GROUP. If you click it, you may just get out alive.

#9 Technical

9.1 The site looks all fucked up to me, what can I do?

Make sure you're running the most modern, up to date, standards compliant browser, and any problems should go away. When in doubt, upgrade to the latest version of your browser and try again. If you're on a PC, your life will be happier if you give up Internet Explorer and start using Firefox instead. If you're using a Mac, your life is already happy. Carry on.

9.2 I have a bug to report, what should I do?

You can send it to bugs@suicidegirls.com, or you can post in the bugs thread on the boards. Bug reports are most welcome but please remember to let us know what browswer and computer type you're on (PC or MAC).

9.3 Do you offer any RSS feeds?

Nope. Sorry.

#10 Shop

10.1 What is your return policy for shop orders?

Our return policy is always available on our policies page.

10.2 How do I track my order?

To check on the status of your order, please email, SHOP, and they'll help you out.

10.3 Can I pay for a shop order with PayPal?

Unfortunately, PayPal has decided not to do business with adult businesses so we are unable to offer memberships through their service. We would if we could but we can't so we don't.

10.4 I need help with my shop order! Who do I contact?

Either send email to shop@suicidegirls.com or call our customer service for shop orders at +1.323.667.9000. Or, just reply to the email you received when you placed your order.
