one problem with sleeping during the day....your days and the "normal" days of everyone else does not line up.
as you read in my last blog, my step-father's car is leaking gasoline. his gas tank seam rusted out. so he needs a new gas tank. to the tune of $700 to $800. I do believe he has put into his car, in about 2 years time, more money then he paid for the car. now, I bought my first car used. beat the hell out of it. it eventually started leaking oil, and I blew the engine on it.
when I was told how much it would cost to fix (the engine had to be rebuilt), my thought process was this....
I paid $1750 for the car
the engine being rebuilt would cost $2500
I'm getting a new car
his mindset...he'll pour money and more money into this car until his mechanic says "Okay, time for a new car." before that....nope, no matter what anyone else says (well, at least my mom and I), he'll keep this car. because he'll say its a great car. sure....unless it needs repair work every 4 weeks.
so fell asleep around 2 PM today....and promptly woke up, somewhat (and surprisingly) rested around 6:30 PM. laid in bed until 8:00 PM or so....at least some relaxing. funny, I fell asleep with my throat feeling a little sore and a hard mass in my neck (the eustationary tube area, however you spell it).....so thinking I had a blockage or something happening. I'm not too worried, typically when I get a cold, I get the same symptoms (my ears are relatively normal, although I do have some issues with them). woke up after the "nap" and no pain (and the lump it gone). so guessing my body nuked the fucker.
and finally....after months, got my digital video camera back. always nice to have my technology back....now if I can only find a job in my field. or the Res Life field. a nice state campus job (getting paid $36,000 a year plus housing, utilities, and food) would be nice. I don't even need the food part. save up money and prepare to move southwards to find a job in the schools (seems that us "Northerners" are really liked down there....heard of people moving south, walking into a school to talk to the principal and walking out with a job). so that might be the approach...that or Probation Officer (when the damn exam is offered). what else is someone with a degree in School Counseling to do?
so what is new with you?

Stop picking on the poor old man ... go fix his car. Oh ... and get a job while you're at it.
