here is an example of some of the conversations we have while doing helping hands (BTW, some of you may cringe when reading this, so beware!)

one of my female co-workers was talking about her period and how she was "a bleeder". she said her period occurred every 18 days (which I personally think is odd). here's how she described it:

10 days of bleeding...

well that was a might unusual conversation.

It would seem to me as though if she is bleeding that much that she has other problems. Sounds like she is over due for a visit to the doc.

well, I found out what my IPM's ended up being for the day. I brought them up to 11 or so, so that's a good thing! I improved my IPM's with a little advice, in about 1/2 the time as well (in fact, I think less than 1/2 the time). so next time should be even better!

and a weird dream last night:

thanks for your input.

i plucked up the courage and spoke to kate and she's quite happy with it being called jenny. i like the mirror image idea though and may get kate her own angel.

take care.

I've seen your comments in some groups I'm in, and you seem like an interesting person, so I decided to check out your blog. When you asked if anyone had any ideas what the dream could mean, I had one! I've been working on some dream interpretation for my own dreams for some time, so I had a theory about the dream you described. Didn't mean to just pop on here and make personal comments, I just wanted to help. smile

so I survived register today. wasn't too bad actually. initially had some questions (IE, how do I do a debit card for only a specific amount). but got through that.

and the time flew by quite fast!

but my IPM's (Items Per Minute) sucked. I was around 10, they want 16. so I asked for ways to be quicker.

so we'll see what I ended...

well, Friday, I get to run register for the first time since training (excluding about 10 minutes when they were busy). oh how it shall be interesting.

people that I work with tell me "No problem, don't worry about it, you'll do fine." it is a good thing that if I have a question, all I have to do is flash my light and a...

so my days now seem to be composed of work, sleep, playing Halo on my XBox, and watching DVDs. nice, huh?

yeah, I need a life.

and now something I find somewhat odd:

a girl at work (we work in 2 different departments) I recently found out is going to Roberts Wesleyan, the school I attend, in the fall to work on her Masters for...

sorry to say...

but I have that same habit of refering to everyone as honey, cutey, sugar etc...

not sure, but maybe its because i'm from the south... or maybe I just spent too much time hanging out with strippers when I was younger.

for me at least, it denotes a friendly relationship between tthe person refered to and I. usually meaning that they are in my good favors.

biggrin have fun being social... keep it up! wink
heavenandhell:
i generally call people hunny or sweetie, so it's possible she is the same.

just get to know her as a friend and see what happens.

So, the other day, I decide that I want to cash out a retirement policy from my first job. For a few reasons:

1. its losing money, not making any money.
2. I could use the money right now.

the only problem is that when I last checked, I was listed as 0% vested, so I could not touch the employER contribution, currently about $2400....

Dude, that sucks. Sounds like something the people I work for would do. They screwed me majorly out of like four hours or more of over time my second week in because I didn't have a regular clock in number yet. Bastards, but no one else would have me.
sophronia:
hell yes you do!

probably need some legal help though frown

well, got my registration done for my car (on-line) today. considering that the registration expired May 28, not doing too bad, huh? eeek

and tomorrow I pay my insurance.

oh being broke bites.

in other news, today I started up with model building again. the only problem I currently see (excluding affording the paints) is how to deal with the fumes from the air brushing I...

I have the same problem with..er....what is it called in english...you know....paint in cans, like what you use for grafitti. Duh, I hate it when I dont find the word I'm looking for. Anyways; I'm currently working on a mural inside a gallery that is going to be part of an exhibition that opens next thursday, and for this I use cans. Needless to say it stinks. In addition there's no windows in the room and therefore no possibility for airing. I'm probably going to be braindamaged before the mural is finished.

Yeah, an air filter seems like a good idea.Or in my case; a gas mask.
heavenandhell:
i'm sorry, i read up to the words 'model building' and my eyes kind of glazed over. my husband makes WW2 aircraft and i'm forever having bits of them shoved under my nose for inspection. it's not that i don't like them, it's more the obssesive way he is over them. he's made some brilliant stuff, but i don't need to be shown them continuously.

i'm glad you are enjoying making them though, he does find it very relaxing, so i hope you do.

take care.

kiss

oh god, i made the mistake of showing him your journal and he wants to know what sort of blue angels plane. *sighs* sorry.

well, the past few days has been quite interesting, to say the least.

on Sunday, one of the "runners" at my store left. she wasn't getting enough hours, so she got another job in the company. what really sucks is that she was really down to earth. such things as cleaning up minor spills on the Front End, while the other runners would call for...

I had a nice weekend, thanks for asking. Didn't have any time off of work, but I maxed out the usage of the spare time. Spent way too much money on jump tickets though.

bye. have a nice day kiss

Here are the pictures of the rosebush bed I re-did, as slideshows hosted on Photobucket:

The Rosebush Bed Before

there are 2 groups here, right after I trimmed the bushes down (about a month or 2 ago) and then as I was planning out the bed. yes, I use a hose to plan out the bed. makes it easier to change things and also cheaper...

so what happens when someone not good at "idling" (as in not doing anything....thank you 5 years of Residence Life!) has a day off and nothing to do?

yardwork!

yes, currently taking a break from expanding the rosebush bed in front of the house.

pictures to follow!

let's just hope my knee holds out (last night, it went "squishy" and swollen at work!)

yay!
whatever
