well, the week is almost done. I probably should be updating and commenting on journals. yes, I read everyone's journal even if I don't comment. sorry, you'll figure out why soon.

well, my stomach still hurts if I try to do some sit-ups. it doesn't hurt otherwise, so I'm not too worried.

I'm done with school for the semester at least. if not longer. the...

I watched a video of a preteen wiping out on a motorcycle. Compound fractured his thigh, broken colar bone, two broken ribs, and a broken arm. He was yelling "don't cut off my clothes"
Tough little guy he is!

Sound like you've been busy. I was wondering why i hadn't heard from you in awhile and i guess that explains it.

As for the rural living i just had a conversation today about how hard it is to get things delivered to R.R boxes.

the other day (Friday), I had this weird dream. here goes:

seems that my first real girlfriend, Samantha, tracked me down. she wanted to get back together with me. she went through a recent divorce, and missed me, or soemthing like that.

she was making a major play for me. my response was "Well, I'm thinking about it, but if we get back together, things...

so one of the security guards (who also works as an EMT in the area) stopped by work today.

he responded to a call at a party.

the first kid they took out had a blood alcohol level of .54.

yes, .54.

needless to say, this kid is in Intensive Care....and probably has brain damage.

at 18 years old.

Well you see that at colleges a lot, why I don't agree with the shame put on by drinking and that you have to hide it until your 21. Teach them when they are younger so the learn how to be responsible.
heavenandhell:
They will never learn, sadly.

Hope you are well.

kiss

haven't posted much, so I best post something. I talked with one of my professors this past week, she called to see how I was doing. she told me how some of my classmates were missing me. wishing I was still in class. and to keep in mind my intelligence, drive, and resiliency. that I can do something, whatever I want. even if I don't...

smile Sounds like your doing well. Definately take care of yourself as well as others. If your not functioning well, you cant assist others very well.

Thank you.

A travel bug is an item which is tracked through the website. It has a serial numbered tag so people can see where it goes.
For mosquitos try putting a couple half smoked, extingushed cigarettes butts in your pocket. It helps!

well, I saw the psychiatrist today. the nice part is, well, honestly, this visit cost me NOTHING. the college I attend picks up the first bill, so that's good.

I was there for an hour to an hour and a half. the entire "intake" time. the psychiatrist said to me at the end "I have to tell you, aside from vets I have worked with...

so I finally figured out what I want to do for my one paper....looking at the link between spirituality/religion and recovery programs. figured that it could be interesting....look at both sides (what programs out there are for recovery but do not involve a spiritual component?)

as for the new site layout, well, evidently you have to be active for 9 months before you can comment...

ever have that feeling that you're under constant scrutiny?

all the time?

I do. now. and for the past 1 1/2 years.

and it f*cking sucks, let me tell you!

on a happier note, the supervision today (someone taking a supervision class) commented on how my third session was, by far, my best. yeah, I felt the same. I just "went with it" instead of...

I think the job issues all got worked out.
Fuck em,

Some quotes i used today
"I spent 14 years working in a cut throat profession, when i get backed into a corner i draw on alllll my work experience"
"A better job title doesn't pay the bills"
"when my job responcibilities are 'everything' i want all of it"
"They tried to throw me under a bus, so i got a train"
'i'm getting desciminated against, don't know for what but their actions prove it"
And my daily favorite
"Thats what happens when running Black Ops within a department"

If we got together we'd figure out all the worlds problems, It would just come down to convincing everyone biggrin

glad your sessions are going well! smile

and yes, being scrutinized sucks!

well, tomorrow, at 11 AM Eastern Standard Time, I meet with the Academic and Performance Evaluation Committee (APEC) on campus. they're the ones who will decide if I get the boot or not... whatever

hoping it goes in my favor, which will be:

let me continue with classes, register for internship and one class in the fall. evaluate how I'm doing mid-summer, if things are good,...

so last night I went to the local IMAX theater to see 300. big screen....the only way to go! great movie! no hidden plot twists or turns really. just lots of violence, blood, and the story of 300 Spartans sacrificing themselves. for freedom.

well, right now, I'm pretty much just kind of waiting on things. I talked with my counselor about what to expect. he's also a professor in the Social Work program, so he has some experience with this. in talking wth him, he stated that, while the faculty try to "raise as many issues as possible" through coursework, it isn't perfect, and people have gotten into...
