so last night I went to the local IMAX theater to see 300. big screen....the only way to go! great movie! no hidden plot twists or turns really. just lots of violence, blood, and the story of 300 Spartans sacrificing themselves. for freedom.
yeah, it was pretty damn good!
still plugging away at things. Tuesday night I wrote my e-mail to the school I was an intern at, stating that I was done. last week I told the people who I had formed some kind of relationship with. the nurse, the counselors, an Assistant Principal, one teacher. people like that. the e-mail was a formality.
so what now? join a counseling group (once I find one). call a psychiatrist out of the blue, go "Hi, I currently have no health insurance, but I was referred to you. I need to be checked out to see if I'm suffering from depression and/or anxiety. Thanks!" and jump through the APEC hoops. joys, huh?
but at least I can get some sleep and do my work. the last few assignments I turned in, I got back with comments like "Not as carefully written as usual" on them. yup, everything was starting to suffer.
oddly enough, the last few sessions, where I was saying goodbye to the kids I was working with, good sessions. the one kid, I worked with once. I was told by his counselor that he was very engaged in the next session with her. pretty much continuing what we started. so what changed? I guess I relaxed, and instead of going "what do I need to do here?", I simply "wung it" and went with the flow of things. instead of being worried about things, I simply did.
so that might be one of the things for me....worry less about things and just go with it. I dunno!
so there's plenty of people I have to write back to. I will, I promise. today, I have to get an oil change done for my car and put the money in my account to pay off my car. the loan is due by June. so the earlier the better I think....one less thing to worry about!
so, how is everyone else doing out there? still no idea of what to do for my Advanced Integration of Counseling and Theology paper. maybe something dealing with the effects of someone leaving organized religion. or the benefits of organized religion (if there are any). not sure, really. but I have time.
now I have time.
