And also, yeesh. Creationists bitching about museums are aggravating, to say the least. I found out some Creationists bought the park with the giant sit-in T-Rex that was in Pee Wee's Big Adventure, and was depressed as a result.

I'm sorry I haven't updated yet this year!

Things in my life haven't exactly been very exciting anyway, but I'm already feeling like 2013 will be better than last year. Even despite the bump in the road I hit yesterday: Finding out my mother has skin cancer.

I'm hoping that it will only require the removal of the cancerous mole she has, and nothing more....

I hope your Mom does will with the skin cancer. It's awesome to hear about all the dorky things you bought and I can't wait to see what they look like! I hope your trip to Denver is a lot of fun.

If you had a $100 gift card to Amazon, what would you get?

The lens I want for my new camera seems to be sold out, I'm totally okay with waiting for it to come back in stock, but it still isn't the whole $100. I always have this problem with Amazon. I've got a wish list and everything, but when it comes to actually...

For some reason I seldomly buy things on Amazon off my wishlist. There is stuff I've been wanting for years and instead I often buy something that I see in this moment. So weird.
Also, Amazon is evil. ^^

Hello ladies and gents!

I haven't updated in awhile, so I figured I'd do so while I've got dinner cooking in the oven. Chicken legs in a caramelized Asian BBQ sauce. The sauce is made from scratch, naturally. I'm not really one to microwave dinner. I like to make everything from my own imagination. I guess that's the reason I got to be on Master...

Thatd be cool. Id just keep it small since the queue is so long now and it seems like there are so many shootfests going on these days.

Yes, when I saw The Hobbit it was in 3D / HFR format (but not Imax). I've read a wide range of opinions about the HFR, so your mileage may vary, as they say. But I liked it, and I didn't have any issues with it. In fact for me, it wasn't all that big of a deal. I don't see many 3D movies -- for most things, I prefer 2D -- so maybe I was more focused on that, so to speak. I thought the HFR did make things look sharper and clearer, but it wasn't super distracting or anything. So to be honest, I thought the whole discussion about it was blown out of proportion. But like I say, that's just me.

I like Tarantino a lot, and I do want to see Django Unchained, but it sounds like it might be a little too violent for my taste, so I'm thinking about waiting for it to come out on video. Probably I should see it in a theater though.

By the way, have you seen Sukiyaki Western Django? I liked it a lot. It's pretty crazy, but I thought it worked. You might like it.

I watched your video as it's close to my heart with Shagz having Marfans.
It's also a connective tissue disorder that is caused by a gene mutation in the womb.

I have a special place in my heart for everyone who was born with something that they can't change.
I also see all the complications, surgeries, numerous checkups, labwork every month, that goes along with it..
*hugs* I never thought in my life that I would be in the situation I am, But I try to think we're all here for a reason and maybe that's why Shagz and I fell in love so quickly.
I hope I'm always there for him, and a shoulder to lean on when needed..

Re: MS05 EDS petition request -- As you pointed out, I normally doubt the capability of online petitions, but that one is on Whitehouse.gov, so it must be legit. So I signed (#308) and FB'ed the link. I'm really surprised this isn't recognized already. Is there a list somewhere? I looked around ADA.gov, but couldn't find anything useful.

Hello there.

I haven't been absent, just lurking. I came down with a bout of the flu a couple of weeks ago (luckily, I got sick the day after the big 5th anniversary with the husband), and I'm just now getting better. I'm still sneezing like crazy, but I'll take that over the sick any day.

Like I indicated in the previous paragraph, Trevor and...

pfft!! total rip off!!!

i dunno if my HS even had any reunions!

glad you're feeling better! I'm getting over a cold as well. Thankfully a relatively mild one.
infinity:
Getting the flu = blackeyed but better it happened after your anniversary than before it.

No point in going to a high school reunion when it's that far away and expensive. People in general seem to not understand SG or bother to take the 5 minutes it takes to read a wikipedia page that explains it all. *sigh*

The other day I had a New Holland Ichabod pumpkin ale, and I liked it a lot.

It's from Michigan, and I don't know whether or not they sell it in Colorado.

I've started collecting the new 50th anniversary Mars Attacks! cards recently. It reminds me of how fun it is to open a pack and find awesome things you weren't expecting and new pieces of art to add to the collection.

I've been a big nerd since I was a kid. Collecting comics and cards was my bonding exercise with my dad, and I guess since...

There are times where I get all emo and fall off the face of the Earth.

That's where I've been for the past few weeks. Bummed, and it's not over one thing, it's over a million little things that have added up.

Despite life kicking my ass, I'm trying to remain positive. It's kind of hard when I'm alone with nothing but my thoughts all...
