Well, shit. I missed it.

Happy Belated. I know it's a rough day for you every year, but I hope you were able to make the most of it.
Also, fuck Ehlers-Danlos right the face. Along with the jackass zoo-goers. Here's hoping they're the first to get targeted by, uhh, *ahem* "monkey business" next time.

Love the dress. If you act a little crazy and tell them you ran out of your medication they might let you leave. Worked for a friend of mine

Things are kind of broken for me right now...
My body is really painful today due to a bad EDS flare up. Probably because it's snowing and freezing here in Colorado. My heart aches for Boston because my friends and family live there, and I'm my head is all stuffed up and disconnected because of everything going on.
A friend of mine lost her cousin...

Get better soon.
I feel sorry for all the families of those who lost somebody in Boston right now. People are hyenas and prey on other's suffering - craving for some strong and dramatic emotions which they can switch off however, together with the TV. In a couple of days the media attention will die down and I hope they get their space to heal broken hearts.

Sorry lady. Sad that it takes a tragedy to remind us that most of our shit is pretty okay in the big picture. I'm certainly adjusting my attitude as of late.
Over the weekend, I got to go to a Prohibition Repeal party at a local brewery (it's an annual party). You were required to dress in 1920's or 1930's garb and had to have the password to the speakeasy to get in. There was a door behind the brewery in a winding hallway with a slit in it, and you'd knock, the slit would open,...

You know, I can understand when people say "her tattoos suck" and on the same picture somebody else says "beautiful ink!!!" as tastes differ. But damn. I never understood how blind people are when it comes to a body. How some can see "obese" and "skinny" in the same picture is beyond me.
And anyway. They are idiots because you are neither. You are just fine.
Seeing you with "normal" hair kind of confused me for a moment. I do have to say you look cute with that though! Did you have/keep the dress? What I can see of it looks really nifty.
Oh and you eyebrows matching your hair in that one picture is DEH BOMB! Also, the rest of the make up.

Watched the video... It's really sad that some people have to go through this kind of suffering every day and yet still be completely misjudged by others.
There's still no cure for some diseases and unfortunately this is one of them. But I wish that'll change, that cures for these diseases are discovered, so that you and everyone else who suffer with diseases like this don't have to suffer anymore.
All my positive thoughts to you and everyone else who suffer from rare diseases.
Unfortunately, I'm only seeing this blog post now and Rare Disease Day has already gone by this year, but I'm sharing the message nevertheless.
And just remember that, despite everything you have to go through, there are those who'll be always there for you, those that hopefully make life worth living, despite all your hardships.
