ahh, sleep, what a wonderful feeling. I got home from my internship on Thursday (saw my client again) to fix my computer. my family managed to screw up the screen resolution big time. had to reboot in safe mode, stuff like that. also had to fix the power switch on my computer....it wasn't turning on consistently!

then called into work. more hours for me...whoo-hoo!

Still try not to get burnt out though.

I'm doing fine. The funk I had from the end of last year seems to have dissipated which is good and I've decided to take a little more control of my life, so that should help keep things even. The kids and the kitten are still a pain in the butt, I'll have to work on them a bit harder.

Take care.

kiss

i hope you like your classes!!!

the past few days....ugh!

here's why:

Friday Night: work overnight (11:30 PM to 8:00 AM)
Saturday, I sleep and then work overnight again (again, 11:30 PM to 8:00 AM)
Sunday, I come home, eat my Nigiri that I just bought, sleep, wake up, broil some scallops and make some rice pilaf to eat, and then go to sleep around 11:00 PM or so (yes, before...

well, another year has come and gone. its been interesting to look back upon, in many ways. here's some highlights:

1. started counseling. for real this time.
2. was told that I need to work on personal issues if I want to make it as a school counselor.
3. got into serious debt. didn't make nearly enough over the summer. almost had my car insurance...

so, please, friends o' mine here, write more journals so I can comment in them. I have about 2 weeks before classes start up again. although since they are suppose to be...

So...um..I figure you must be a big fan of Jack Skellington?
I envy the snow. Not much of that in Oslo now. Global warming sucks.

The end of uni for me seemed so far away at the beguining of my last semester - but looking back on it now - it was slow - but it was only 3 months. I hope your last weeks at uni are hassle free and that everything for you gets finished and finilised nicely. Enjoy the last of your holidays! wink

well, tomorrow is Christmas, can't you see me jumping for you?

survived the family gathering...some interesting gifts. I ask you all who read my journal if I should panic or not:

My aunt (uncle's widow) is still kind of hard hit by his suicide. as she put it, he was her world. it took her some time, but she is doing things, going out with...

I am done for the semester, thankfully.

well, kind of.

I still have to complete one transcription and a journal entry and evaluation for my consulation class. normally I would have to do three tapings, but the professor felt that I was on the right path and so only wanted a tape that showed the intervetion phase of things, moving towards disengagement!

took my comps...

so, today, at counseling, I was talking about my grandfather's death (first real death I experienced, I was 12 when he died of lung cancer).

got all teary eyed, and instead of fighting it back, let myself go, and some tears fell.

don't know if that's a good thing or not.

but damn I'm tired out from it!

almost done for the semester as well!

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

ahh, what a week its been.....its sucked.

last week, I turned in my evaluation so far. my internship has been different. I know the material. what's holding me back is the personal issues I've accumulated throughout the 30 years I've been here. the entire middle child stuff. if you look back a few entries, I...

new layout....its all weird and such! I'm going to have to take some time to get used to it now!

let's see....work is progressing. did I ever mention that I hate writing Verbatims? and I have 45 minutes (or so) of verbatims to get typed up by, oh, Wednesday! add to that 2 2-page article reviews, a 6-8 page paper, and presentation to prepare for...

well, today, while stretching, I was able to touch my toes!

whoo-hoo!

yes, that is an accomplishment for me. for years (well, pretty much my entire life), my hamstrings have always been very tight. no matter what I did (soccer, t-ball, football, or dance class....yes, I took dance classes. modern and jazz), I never could get my hamstrings loose enough to touch my toes.

so...

I think one of the hardest parts of counseling that involves working with other people for your homework happens when there really isn't too many people (maybe 2) in the area that you trust enough to talk to about what you're doing and feel comfortable enough to talk to about your "homework"!
frown

on happier notes, I'm almost done with the semester! one more to go!...
