to hell with all that macho man crap!! i cry like a little school girl with a skinned knee at the drop of a dime!! no.. seriously.. i think the issues here are society tells men that you dont cry, but its ok for women to. i spent the first 17 years of my life bottling up all my emotions. when the jar overflowed it was unpleasant to say the least. oddly enough i've found that the more im open emotionally the less i cry. a lot less, oddly enough. i think if youre a man its okay to cry. frankly i think its a mental health issue. its good for you. granted theres a time and a place and the question of 'is this even worth the energy' as well...

the sometimes overwelling joy i've felt in class has never wanted to come out as crying... but laughing and cussing outloud is always held underneath the surface. i'll be waiting for my time to come
