Okay, I got my flight booked back home. It cost more than I had hoped, but it was my own fault for not booking it last week. My mom and gramma both pitched in, and it took some Christmas money too, but we did it. Whew. I'm happy to have it over and done with. I'll have to leave my house at something...

I hope everyone is having a terrific holiday season
The big dinner went really well last night, I somehow served a turkey dinner to nine people in my tiny house - on time no less. I made buns from scratch, and they rose beautifully (insert dirty comment here

And with dying my hair with a red tone to it makes it even worse. It takes about a week for all the 'excess' red to wash out or else everything I wear that's a light colour gets orange around the neck and back area.
Since I was little we'd always do our big dinner on Christmas Eve, so there was no need to rush or do much of anything Christmas Day, aside...

I know I jokingly posted about making Ewok Stew and Jellied Jar Jars for Christmas last week, but I am actually in need of some good xmas-goodie recipes. When I went camping this summer, I had left my box of recipe books in the laundry room (stupidly) next to the hot water tank - it blew while I was away. I came home...

You have to wonder how drunk that man was when he decided to get those tattoos. I am willing to bet he woke up and regretted it.
The dog that I foster for a local animal rescue came back home Sunday. While doing Pet Pics with Santa at Petsmart last weekend, a man came up and seemed interested in old Bear (who, for non-regular readers is a 13 y.o lab shep cross) - and after some discussion, decided to take him home for a trial-run, of sorts. What movies have you seen lately? Anything worth reccomending?
Well,
I've seen:
Apocalypto <---------I battled seeing this movie. Mel Gibson being an ASShat and all
Blood Diamond<----------Couldn't get over the accent... But loved the movie
The Holiday<----------guilty pleasure. Once over Cameron Diaz, good movie
The Fountain<-------------go see this movie. Not for the pedestrian filmgoer, but smart/pretty
Casino Royale<----------better then I thought it was going to be. Very entertaining
Bobby<-------------well done. Maybe a rental
Deja Vu<----------------------done well, but.......Maybe too much for me... *meh*
Borat<-----------Funny ass movie. Worth the $10.
Babel<-------------go see this movie. Great story. Ensemble is great!
short list
I'm having proubles deciding what to make for Christmas dinner.... I mean, sure, the classics like turkey, stuffing, potatoes, peas, carrots, celery with that strip of Cheese Whiz down the middle are fine, but I kind of want to try something new this year. Something exciting. Here are a few ideas I'm tossing around (I've spoiler-ed the ingredients):
Ewok Stew
Bear wasn't adopted by the family that took him yesterday. They said his age was too much of an issue.
I was told when I took him in that he was 13 years old - bullsh*t. He doesn't look or act like a thirteen year old dog. He runs circles around my seven year old lab. Sorry, had to vent somewhere.
The good...
