The eyes are still a bit blurry, but each fay they get a little better--I'm sure if I slept more and spent less time staring at computer screens they may heal even quicker. What would I do to keep busy, yet not spend money while I wait the next 5 weeks before I go to my next ship?
Off to Vancouver on Thursday for a few days. Have my next follow up exam on Friday, so why not make a mini-vacation out of it?! I just hope the rental car ha a cd player
In other news, I sent my resume out to another cruise line a few days ago. I've been getting recommendations for promotion every contract for tha last 2 years, yet the home office keeps saying "you are definatly in line, but we don't have a permanent place yet". Bullshit! There are many people being promoted since then, not due to better qualifications or senority, but just becaus they happen to be in the right place and the right time.
I'm gunning for a Stage Management position on the Queen Mary 2 when she comes out at the end of the year--just think brand new ship with cool toys and WORLD CRUISES!!!!!
