I was happily impressed with Portland, ME--the OTHER Portland. Portland, OR reminds me of the more flashy, outgoing, and rambunctious younger sibling. Portland, ME felt like the groovy, slightly more mellow, yet very hip older sibling. I found some great music and book stores, and some cool little coffee shops.

Everyone on the ship will not stop going on about how much they are glad to be in the Caribbean ad their beach parties. I would much rather spend a season of brisk fall days, searching through a city with a latte in hand than any number of hot summer beach days down here. It's almost time to come home, the problem is finding a home to return to.

I'm hoping I can use this contract to get my finances on track. It may take one more contract after this, but I don't have more than that in me. i just need to crack down and make sure I have enough money set aside to fund the ever so exciting game of Find a Good Job, and then the possible bonus round of Time to Relocate at contract's end.
