Ahh, the wonders of Sattelite internet. Less than half the reliability, 3x the loading times, and only 15cents a minute!!!
Well, what can you do eh?
i have found my new favorite place in the world, just edging out Barcelona, Quebec City. It is an absolutly amazing place. I walked around for hours and burned 2 rolls of film. It has a very European ambiance, but the Canadian influence makes it seem more accessable and friendly. While I was walking, there was a brief flurry of snowflakes dancing in the air and tickling my nose. Even though none of the snow stuck to the ground, it made me feel giddy as a schoolgirl, as the saying goes.
When this ship makes it to the Black Hole in the World that is Miami and the Caribbean, there will be countless scantily clad sunbathing women, and not one will be anywhere near as attractive as the girls I saw in Quebec all bundled up in turtlenecks and scarves with cheeks rosy from the cold--and speaking in French!!!
Tomorrow I get to see the 'other' Portland. I've always wanted to see how Portland, ME compares to my Portland, OR. We're only there until 5pm, then Boston until 11am the day after, after which we sail for 3 days to get to Hell, I mean Miami.
Does anyone get the impression that I really detest Miami, and the Caribbean in general?
