figure that the next time I'm not in a great mood, I should not write a blog.
it tends to end up sounding bitter, angry, and very cryptic.
sorry for that!

well, the daily grind of my job continues next week.
seriously, here's a good prescription for burn-out and no social life:
Working Sunday....until around 8 AM or so (the overnight shift). get home, sleep, get up, deal with family starting at 3 PM until whenever.
Work Monday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. this early morning stuff bites!
Off Tuesday, so I can do laundry.

and thanks for reading what i wrote

Its good your seeing that theres a risk of burn out, but its hard with not being able to take any action regarding it. I was always concerned that full time work would wear me down more than part time with studying as well, but the good thing with full time work is that you shouldn't have to take work home, the hours are more predictable and regular. I hope you get the job you want and that it works out.
I'm with Lethaldose, kinda blaaaahhhh. Haven't cried in a few days tho.

so last night, checked my e-mail, to read a message from the Career Center at Roberts Wesleyan....they were having a career fair the next day (IE, today, the 18th), and this was my final notification.
so I look...hey, some school districts in the area!
so fired off about 7 resumes, cover letters, Reference lists, and educational philosophy statements. ended up having to shake up the...

Happy birthday once again...(you can never say it enough)
And your birthday...it sounded pretty good to me. I would have liked that for a birthday. I just hope you were happy. I always hope that.
Don't get me started on Best Buy...the last time I was there this really hot girl that worked there was hitting on me like crazy until her boss came over and basically stopped her in her tracks. He made is so I she had to go in the back and I couldn't even get her number. Damn.
I wish you the best, my friend.

well, finally got some serious sleep last night (for the first time, honestly, in a few weeks). seems to me that I'm getting over this cold. admittedly, I'm still hacking up loogies and blowing my nose quite a bit. but I feel better.
that, and I have my humidifier running as well. not a ton, but enough to bring up the humidity levels some so...

I picked up your airbox cover today ... it comes with all the screws. I'll ship it to you tomorrow, the shipping costs will be a birthday present
thanks for all the well wishes everyone, I'm starting to feel better. sleeping a little better, not waking up dehydrated like a raisin (okay, maybe not that bad, but I think you get the picture). you know, the "so dry it hurts to speak" feeling you get sometimes? yeah, had that.

Glad you are starting to feel better, my friend. It is all the harder to fight off a bug when your sleep schedule is out of whack. But I am glad that is sounds like the worst part is over.
Um...I am very new to laptops. I just bought my first one around 4 months ago or so. Could you tell me a bit about this "laptop cooler"? I know they generate a good bit of heat and figured that would shorten their lifespan. I think I need me something like that
Well, rest up as much as you can. Take care.

so I'm sick...for the past few weeks.
my sleep schedule is all messed up (again).
I do have lots of hours at work, though (almost full time)
and I sent in everything to the place for a long-term sub position.
so now the waiting happens.
waiting sucks!
well, time to get dressed and go to work....hoping to pour through journals on Monday and respond properly!

so Monday woke up sick. add to that the fact that I seem to only sleep until 8 AM, period. I go to bed at 1 AM, up at 8. go to bed at 10 PM, up at 8. seriously, is my body protesting or something?

Hey you need to send me your address and the year of the car again ... I was going to get it and ship today but I guess I missed you. I thought I had the info but I can't find it.
tunnel_vision:
Thanks
I have a online request in for your airbox cover now ... I'm waiting for all the responses to come in before I begin calling. It might be easiest to have them direct ship to you ... I'll let you know the varoius prices first.

24+ hours on 3 hours of sleep.
I'm tired, more to follow (stories of sinks being fixed, showering at family member's houses and how I'm progressing in this eat well/live well challenge).
so here's what happened this weekend:
Saturday, I wake up to a crashing sound...but that was it, so figure no big deal. well, the upstairs bathroom sink is leaking...and has been. the valves...

Hehe ... my family makes yours look like a bunch of saints and angels
so next week starts the 8 weeks of the Wegmans "Eat Well Live Well" program.
here's what we basically do:
1. wear a pedometer and strive to get 5,000 steps a day in (let's see, last night, working 5 hours on Helping Hands pushing carts, I approached 25,000 steps).
2. strive for five servings of fruits and vegetables a day.
3. see if you can...

As far as achieving number 3, screw it. I read an excellent book by loren christianson called the fighters body. In it he sited all sorts of contradictory papers by experts in the field of nutrition and health which shows health limits to be a matter of opinion. Of course someone who weighs 500 lbs is in serious need of weight loss due to health problems but for the most part don't try to stick to a specific weight. Measure it more according to cardio ability, strength, etc. I concentrated on increasing my cardio and found out I lost 40 lbs in a five month time period when I was not counting the weight. By the standards of most health guidelines I am considered obese, however, I can keep up with someone half my weight and outdo them in the strength area. Yes I am overweight but am far from inactive.
Just my opinion though.
As far as the lack of social life and being chicken shit to ask someone out, I can relate and have the same trouble.

You know exactly how I feel about the isolation...and the children. Guess what though? I actually got out today for about five hours in a jam packed fire hall filled with complete strangers. Felt strange, but also good to be out. I really need to do it more often.
I don't know if I can join "Geezers" just yet. I still have 10 months before I hit 30. I have seen it before and have wanted to join. Would the fact that I have to use a cane sometimes help me get in?
Or maybe the fact that I feel fifty? I don't know how strict their rules are on that, letting some "young guy" like me in
One day at a time. I know I will figure it out. Just one day at a time.
And your right, I shouldn't give up on women just yet.
Thank you, my friend.

Why do you want the 2006 coins?
