yup, yesterday was my birthday. and I got some nice birthday wishes (thank you one and all...I have responded in your journal as well).
so what did I do?
met a former classmate of mine for lunch. sat there talking about whatever. met at 1:30 PM, left around 3:30 PM. we both were/are in the Roberts Wesleyan school counseling program, and we both have had our troubles in the program, so its nice that we vent to each other.
then got my car washed. noticed a few days ago the Doan Dodge license plate frames on my car were breaking (hey, they are 6 years old!), so I decided to get new ones. black car, so I got metal frames painted gloss black. looks good, if I do say so myself!
then came home, ate, and kind of vegetated. did really nothing.
ate, and went to bed!
nice way to spend the day, right?
so yeah, that's all. this week, have to join NYSSCA (New York State School Counseling Association) so I can look at their job postings. and do some laundry, watch NCIS, and eat.
oh, and now a funny story:
I bought Angel Season 4 on DVD around Christmas (costing me about $15) at Best Buy. I got the "slim" set where the DVD's are in individual sleeves (2 DVD's in each sleeve). so I decide to watch the DVDs....and what did I notice? Disks 1 and 2, Disks 3 and 4, and Disks 3 and 4. yes, I ended up getting 2 copies of Disks 3 and 4.
I threw out the receipt...so what do I do? well, fortunately, I used my Best Buy Rewards card. got the info, go to Best Buy, walk up to the Customer Service desk (and the cute lady behind the counter), and start to tell her the story, when I go "How about I show you," and show the extra disks. she goes "We can replace this."
I grab the new copy and she starts to look things up, when I show her the print outs and go "Does this help?"
she looks, and goes "This is what I need, thanks, you saved me a lot of work."
and, before we left, double checked everything, to make sure that all the disks are there, and leave.
funny story, huh?

And your birthday...it sounded pretty good to me. I would have liked that for a birthday. I just hope you were happy. I always hope that.
Don't get me started on Best Buy...the last time I was there this really hot girl that worked there was hitting on me like crazy until her boss came over and basically stopped her in her tracks. He made is so I she had to go in the back and I couldn't even get her number. Damn.
