so last night, checked my e-mail, to read a message from the Career Center at Roberts Wesleyan....they were having a career fair the next day (IE, today, the 18th), and this was my final notification.

so I look...hey, some school districts in the area!

so fired off about 7 resumes, cover letters, Reference lists, and educational philosophy statements. ended up having to shake up the toner in my laser printer to get it all to print out. changed paper and such.

then decided to put them in these really nice resume folders (that have printed on them Resume and Confidential). only to find out that I am sorely lacking (I needed 7, I had 1).

so get up early, take a shower, shave, put on the suit (yes, the only suit I own). nice gray shirt, tie that matches, and a tie clip (nice one I got for Christmas from my younger sister). run to Staples and find more of the folders....except these are nice and white, to match the resume paper I used!

so there's me, at the Career Fair, where people are interviewing in t-shirts and jeans. and me in a suit. some give the recruiters a resume with a paper clip mine are in these nice folders that say "Resume" on them. in sliver lettering, too! looking all snazzy.

except, well, of the school districts I was looking at, only one really had a potential opening. spent some time chatting with the Vice Principal of one of the schools. now its time to write a thank-you note and send it out.

and then see what happens!

so now I'm watching "Martian Child", waiting. have to keep watching on-line for potential openings. and see what happens!

even found time today to fold and put away all the laundry I did yesterday, too! go me!
