survived Thanksgiving, I'm tired.

sleep time, have tomorrow off, think its laundry day and "do nothing" day....maybe organize my burned DVD's. one never knows (last week, it was organizing comic books and figuring out what I need).

at least hope to be in chat Friday night and late Saturday night...anyone else? let me know....I run on EST. thanks!

I will be there biggrin

So much of what I read about thanksgiving is about "surviving it" and "surviving family". Sounds pointless to me.

sleep is good....yesterday, I had 4 1/2 hours of sleep total (I fell asleep at noon, woke up around 4:30 and wouldn't fall asleep again). not fun for working a 2nd overnight shift in a row.

today, fell asleep around 10 AM, woke up around 4 PM. much better. paid a visit to my cousin. his estranged wife is wanting to settle now. gee, because...

Yes, marriage is worth it.

BUT you have to find a partner who is going to take care of themselves, is responsible, is honest, reliable, self-sufficient, and loves to fuck. Finding all those things in one person is hard to do. But don't settle for anything less.

That's the problem right there. People settle for less.

I feel bad for the kid with asthma. I'm for the right for people to destroy their own bodies, but please only destroy your own and not someone else's.

I doubt it is legal, but it seems to be the way of the fedsmad

so driving into work last night, found out that Sarah Palin was signing books at the bookstore by the store I work at.

how did I find out?

drove by a bunch of protestors on the side of the road. making me go "WTF is going on that there are protestors here?"

so I asked...and asked if I could toy with them if they stepped...

I didn't even think of Al-Anon I guess because our household is so mellow and normal. I should for sure find a group locally or in P-town for him. Thanks

so got rejected for the job...at least this time I wasn't rejected with a "You did nothing wrong, we went with someone who has more job experience than you" line. instead, it was "We went with someone who had more energy, more interaction." okay? so my "quiet" nature I guess means I lost this job.

what else did I lose? a $23,000 a year job...

You are sounding very positive in reflecting the challenges of the last role you applied for. I would have found that sort of working environment very difficult to manage.

Im hoping something perfect comes along for you kiss
aldremech:
I saw that one. That guy was a fucking fruitloop biggrin

and rejected yet again...this time the feedback was....

"Perhaps more energy and interaction with the kids."

umm, okay..so guess the introvert in me lost out.

so updated my Garmin (Garmin just released a lifetime update program...for about $30 more, I can get map updates as they come out, instead of paying an $80 per year to get that yearly map update).

made a list of what I need to bring (and had it checked over). alarm is set, car is gassed up.

now, I just need to do some laundry,...

so last night, bumped into a former "regular" of mine.

when working the overnight shifts, I tend to get the same customers coming in. I've also found that overnight shifts and late night shifts are when social customers come in. you know, the ones that actually talk to you, instead of just getting their stuff and leaving. its nice.

this customer, we hit it off...

Hoodies count as they are just a sweatshirt with a hood anyway...
I am very appreciative of the hard times as they make the good all that much more enjoyable.
It definitely was interesting and I met some very nice people there.

so a new healthcare bill is being pushed again.

I agree, in the US, everyone should have access to health care. as an "industrialized" nation that is supposed to be so advance, the fact that not everyone has access to health care is, well, pitiful.

but fund it by taxing the rich again? okay, I'm not rich. why not investigate and fund it through these...

then next week....got a feeling I will be a ghost here. I have the following...

Overnight Sunday night and Monday night

get back Friday night around 8 PM from the interview

some days, like today, I really hate my "addiction"

five years of not "indulging" and the urges and desires are still there.

it sucks.

oh well, I'll get through....I always do.

and no, I won't tell you what it is...PM me if you think you can figure it out. and no, I won't talk about it either.
