sleep is good....yesterday, I had 4 1/2 hours of sleep total (I fell asleep at noon, woke up around 4:30 and wouldn't fall asleep again). not fun for working a 2nd overnight shift in a row.
today, fell asleep around 10 AM, woke up around 4 PM. much better. paid a visit to my cousin. his estranged wife is wanting to settle now. gee, because she's missing payments and having collection calls? and can't really apply for any welfare benefits or such because, well, she's still married. so now he knows, he's got time on his side.
she has a proposal with such things as him paying her full child support....but a visitation schedule where he has the children 4 days a week at least. so she wants to be custodial parent....but with less time? ehh, whatever.
his proposal....child support where its at now (it brings their incomes to equal), 50% of the pictures, children's clothes, and children's toys she took when she left their house and took 99% of their belongings. she claims it was just her stuff....odd, since the washer and dryer came with the house. whatever. and he wants full-joint custody of the kids with a schedule reflecting a 50/50 split time. her girlfriend (hey, the oldest has said she's slapped him across the face...the oldest is 7) will not watch his kids. and his house is listed as the address for determing the school for the kids (vs. her apartment...which she might not be maintaining for more than a year at a time).
it should get interesting.
and had to teach him a little bit. she smokes around their youngest (2), who has asthma. to cover the smell of smoke, they use perfume and/or cologne. hmmm, an asthmatic child...spraying cologne and/or perfume on them is not smart.
all this makes me wonder...is marriage worth it? and if so....can I get a full psych screening before hand? so I don't have to deal with a psycho like this?
and in other notes...um, yeah....not much. applying for a long-term sub position. we'll see. just keep plugging away at things!

BUT you have to find a partner who is going to take care of themselves, is responsible, is honest, reliable, self-sufficient, and loves to fuck. Finding all those things in one person is hard to do. But don't settle for anything less.
That's the problem right there. People settle for less.
I feel bad for the kid with asthma. I'm for the right for people to destroy their own bodies, but please only destroy your own and not someone else's.
