painting is getting there....gotta do some taping around the ceiling and such (to make the nice paint lines) and clean some stuff up....then paint the walls and a cupboard and some doors. should look good.

so a new kitchen floor in my house....went from a linoleum floor (from the 1960's) to a ceramic tile floor. guy charged $700 for the entire job (labor and materials). took him about 1 1/2 days to do everything.

so finally got that essay written for the job application. its a short, maybe one page thing. just re-wrote two paragraphs totally. instead of saying "I bring dedication and flexibility to the job," it now reads more "I bring dedication to learning and creativity," to the job. hope it helps!

well, step-father's dad is moved in (at least partially). now its going through the apartment with 30+ years of accumulated stuff. thankfully, the apartment is leased through the end of July....and my step-father's brother (I call him "Uncle" in part out of respect) and his wife (I call her "Aunt" for the same reason) are coming from Chicago to help sort through things.
