I had a decent night last night. My friend, suffering from a recent breakup, came over to "get away". We talked in my room for a bit, and then she suggested a walk. I live in one of the oldest neighborhoods in Kalamazoo, and it was a *beautiful* Michigan night.

We looked at houses and gardens, commented on garages that had been stables, walked old...

One final down, three to go. The one I had today was one of my most difficult. It was simply two essays, worth fifty points each. Yowza. On the bright side, we were awarded twenty-five points per essay if she could tell we'd at least READ the novels, so I know I got at least a 50/100. wink (I think I'll probably get an 85-90).

I'm...

My Shakespeare professor just emailed me to ask if I'd be interested in taking her graduate-level Shakespeare seminar in the fall. love I'm so flattered. Not only does she think I'll thrive in it, but it will show me if I'm grad-school material.

Yay. smile

Congrats ! If a professor does this (rare) kind of thing, that means they really think you're good wink

Shakespeare... I'm not going to lie I hated most of his work. I just don't find his plays funny at all, but that's probably because it's very hard for me to relate to humour that's 2 or 300 years old (goes for other writers/playwriters as well... studied a lot of Moliere & co)... Good tragedies, though smile

Congrats. But it's been my experience that everyone is grad school material. It's really no different than college or high school or middle school or pre-school. YMMV.

I ended up being productive after all. A housemate and I made a pile of food and watched (get this) "Bring It On" and "Center Stage". We got to snark at the cheerleaders, and then I got to ooh and ahh over dancers. I really miss doing competitive dance.

I spent the rest of the evening rearranging my room (again) and setting up my new...

Oh lord, a gf once made me watch "Center Stage". It really wasn't as horrific as I thought it was going to be.

Hell Week is over, and now I have no idea what to do with myself. Feh.

I've decided to reorganize my room and work on a billion home projects that I've had to put aside. Unfortunately, I feel like being lazy.

I want to go to the lake or go hiking or something, but I STILL don't have my car. Hmmph.

I called my boy,...

I feel your laziness; I was gonna do yard work when I got home but I made it to the front porch and suddenly there was this beer in my hand and my ass had been gravitationally reversed into a deck chair. And you can't fight gravity; so maybe tomorrow.
60ftqueenie:

Well there goes THAT hockey season.

My beloved Wings lost to Anaheim last night, putting them out of the hockey playoffs. Instead of celebrating another Cup victory, I'll have to find another team to watch until June.

But it just isn't the same.

I won't get that catch in my chest when my team's colours hit the ice. Just the sight of a red and...

I think we may be facing a misunderstanding about my post in the "can it be too big??" thread. I sincerely did not mean to offend anyone and would consider it a personal favor it if you read the subsequent post I made. I think I explain myself a little better there. Once again, I'm really sorry if I offended you.
