I'm a tournament poker player. Sure, a lot of people I respect in the poker blogger world say that tourneys are -EV, but for the last month, I've doubled my bankroll just playing low-stakes (5.50 and 10+1) SNGs. I play good, solid tournament strategy, and I've learned to take advantage of people who are trying to protect their stacks,...

I just started playing $0.50-$1 ring games and there's a noticeable difference. For a start, it's possible to find tables where less than 50% of the 10 players there are seeing the flop!

2nd is nothing to shake a stick at unless it's a WTA or 5-6 people, or a dollar game I suppose.
I have yet to be in a game with more than 10 people and make it to the point where I am heads up. I always, ALWAYS, find myself beaten by ridiculous crap when I have pocket Queens or Kings or some such. I suppose i should play to hold onto my chips by 5th place or so because at that point, any hand that puts me in favor gets beaten by 3 6 d catching a flush after throwing it all-in before the flop or something idiotic like that.
You're obviously doing well, frustrating as it may be sometimes. Keep it up!
