I'd like to go to a rave, but only if I could go back in time. I stopped going because I got tired of seeing teenagers bringing thier 10 year old brothers and thinking it's cool to get them high. Or people getting beat up.(sigh......where did the PLUR go?

Yup I entirely agree - if you don't think you can deal with the consequences then *don't* go looking in the first place! Personally though I've got an insatiable curiosity about pretty much everything, but then again I'm also pretty much laid back about everything too. I try not to have too high expectations of people (they are just people after all) so there isn't much that really shocks me. Except deliberate ignorance maybe. Or rather the harm and the hurt that arises out of sheer stubborn ignorance...
In regards to becoming more interesting it's hobbies, hobbies & hobbies all the way. I think the key is to keep challenging yourself, whether it be physical, mental or social kinda stuff. As long as you're learning stuff and have experiences to share then it's cool...

this week has sucked, and soon this will pass too.
i am going through some of the same age things... somehow 8 yrs ago when i sort of came out, i thought somehow things would work out, now i look back and realize all the procrastination i had done and all the stories about "i can't" were all just BS getting in the way of my persuit of happiness.
it is odd, but it seems like it is a very common thing for ppl to avoid doing things, not because of the fear of failure, rather, it is the fear of success.
this week has sucked, and soon this will pass too.
