Ok, back to your regularly scheduled journal programming.....I've been so happy and filled with strange memories I'd long forgotten about due to a website. Here's a brief glimpse into my formative teenage years.

Back to the Old Skool. After I heard all those songs like "Pump up the Volume" by M/A/R/R/S and "Pacific" by 808 State, I knew I wouldn't be limiting myself to being "goth" for too long.

I started going to raves when some of you were 7 or 8 (!!) I'm not old skool, I'm just old I suppose. When I revisit the songs, most compiled on this site, it brings back some strange, albeit hazy memories. Ha.

The most notable memories for me belong with these songs:

LFO- LFO

Quadrophonia- Quadrophonia

She's Breaking Up- Bitin' Back aka early Mickey Finn.

Far Out- Sonz of a Loop da Loop Era

Oh, and nearly everything in 1992-The Golden Years, but most particularly this song, which until yesterday, I hadn't heard for at least 7 years.

This Sound is for the Underground- Krome and Time.

There you have it, folks. Now I'm very motivated to tear through all of my stuff to find my scattered collection of mixtapes. Many of them were purchased from an old friend, Ken, and he has a good site, and it's here.

WHOA, stop the presses. He's still selling my my old mixtape when I used to be known as DJ Trixie.
