Thanks so much for all the birthday wishes.
Yesterday was a combination of fun and creepiness. The day went by fairly quickly.
Enter the creepy......I get home, and try to unlock the door. Hands full, I tried to make it as swiftly as possible, so as not to let the cat out. The door didn't open. Psycho Piglet is meowing frantically. The door was stuck, most definitely on purpose.
I'm about to kick the door in when the key turns in the deadbolt, and I fall inside. Something is NOT right. I'm scanning the kitchen for some kind of sharp and blunt instrument because I am nearly sure that there is someone in the apt. It's plainly obvious that the dwelling was entered.
REDRUM redrum RED-RUM.
After determining no one was there, the kitty looked at me strangely as I set down the Firm Fanny Lifter that I had grabbed as my only line of defense. Hey, it was a shield to deflect and I imagine that it's weighty enough to use to clock someone over or upside the head.
And btw, what happened is that my landlord needed to enter the apt. in sort of an emergency, so yeah.
If this entry wasn't already so long, I'd go into grave detail about the birthday dinner, but here are the Cliff Notes. Plan C was to go to the Thai restaurant that features a Thai Elvis impersonator, but alas, he wasn't there last night. No matter, we had really good Thai food.
I
Thai iced tea, Tom Yum Goong, and Shrimp Pad Thai.
What's your favorite or least favorite Thai food?
