Busy weekend.
Friday, went to Ground Kontrol with howdypardner. I'm still not able to play for long on any games but Dig Dug (you can let the monsters escape, after all; heck, I only lost lives cuz the joystick's messed), but I did do okay on second tries of Burgertime and Pac man. Howdypardner is better at pinball than I, and probably Super Mario Bros too. She's generally fabulous, though, so no wonder.
Saturday, I saw pygmy + husband, miguelitooo, other folks at the farmers market. Good time just getting kale and talkin music, livin on the northwest land, etc. Caught the US-Italy game, and it seemed italy was nowhere near the pedestal I put them on last Journal! Lost of offsides and not much more from them, although to be fair the game was a tie because an Italian guy deflected the ball in for the US. Sat night, I saw many folks at the Greenpines show, just many of the Thurs night BBQ people. I learned to play some different card games but it was cold outside for a t-shirt on the deck! June here is pretty different from Virginia.
Sunday, went to the Pride Parade with hansel and Eddie. They are darling people, and I have to say the parade was not just funn, but I was pretty moved by the supportive nature of the event, not just acceptance but love in the air. The largest cheers were for PFLAG, and support groups for teens; it's moving to see people who "get it," who are choosing to love and think rather than hate and construct dumb dogmas accordingly. I tinkered around a bit with H & E, and then we went to a kickball game, which I joined thinking it would be -easy. Well, I got worn out, in fact have badly bruised my left pinky on one of my many dropped balls, and seem to have a harder time of it than the many beer-drinking ladies did! (Yes, beer during game... on field...) I enjoyed it, but gee did we get beat soundly... I mean like 40-10 or somethin. Not complainin, or very competitive, just... well. So I just had enough time to shower and go to Noir with HP. We had a typical nice bunch of PDXers there, and prob best mozarella sticks ever... fwiw. Spent some quality time with howdypardner, who is really quite the sweetie, superfunn to talk to and see. kiss

Lastly, I might sell my couch actually, wow. maybe tomorrow. Wish me luck, I'll probably need it with this couch being the bad spirit its been. Also, got my Seu Jorge ticket for tomorrow (that's kinda what I need luck for; to make sure I sell the couch in time to go get a good seat at the show), and I see there's a Stanley Cup game 7 tonight, prob a good time to start watching the 2005-06 NHL season for me.

love to HP and all the folks I've seen. Looks like another pretty active week coming up, too. Don't forget the Lauren K Newman benefit Friday- www.helplkn.com -I might be selling drinks or concessions at that one.

Man, I'm still stumbling around the new format like a regular "newb", but good to see you're doing well across the country. Portland sounds like a good time- wish I was there. I'm thinking about an eventual cross-country journey, but I've sworn to go to New York first. If I stopped planning all these dinky little trips, I'm sure I could swing it financially. But I need instant and frequent gratification (read: escape). Heh. Well, more later, assuredly. Ciao, dear. kiss

Hey man sorry about the no show on the couch call. My life was a bit of a blur leading up to this here vacation I am now on. Hope it doesn't cause you any more grief than it has and that it all works out well.

Either way hope all is well.
