The love crusade seems to have been successful...
A good friend of mine has a long term long distance relationship with a beautiful girl who is at uni in Bristol. He is up here with us and going to uni at Teesside. They have been having some difficulties which has lead to her suggesting a break up. Now we can't have that...especially over the phone or online. We decided that we needed to get him to Bristol to talk to her. That way if the end it, at least it can be face to face, but really in the hope of them being able to restore the romance. So it was decided that Tom was to drive him the 5 hours there, stay over night with a friend whilst the couple 'discuss' and then drive him home again the next morning. And so far it seems to be going well. They are on the way home now now, and I have only heard good news, so I'm assuming all is well. Yeah love crusade!
In the meantime I'm still house bound and on extreme pain killers so I've been sat in front the the TV with hot chocolate and crisps whilst the country has a political crisis. We have a hung parliament, which has lead to general confusion. To be honest I don't know what is going to happen, we have to wait for the parties to decide amongst them selves what is going on, which is ridiculous. We need a fair voting system in this country...so hopefully the mess we are in now will lead to that at least, that way if nothng can sort us out this time at least next time round it will be fair.
