I accidentally caught one of my cat’s tails in the windowsill when I was closing the window. Chopped a one inch section off of her tail. I felt like such an asshole. She was sitting way too close to the window for me to shut it so abruptly. She recovered but it was dicey. She developed an infection that was very difficult to treat and almost died. Never have I shut a window so carelessly before or since.

So I am having a 4oth birthday surprise party for a good friend. Since he is always working and has ungodly hours, I was reduced to telling him about it, in order to make sure he would be there. So the surprise is actually on all the people who think it is still a surprise party. Someone is really going to be surprised.
