One of my mama's friends has a son fighting out there that was run over by some sort of truck and is now recovering in Germany, out of harm's way, we hope. Apparently it was a miracle he survived, so we're all hoping he gets to come home soon. He's only 19, poor thing.
I predict that all of the good times you're going to have with friends when you get back will offset the "quality" time your family will insist on putting you through.
