On Sunday, September 1st, if you have the pleasure of living in Colorado, we're having an SGCO meet up, and you should totally come. Details here. It'll be super fun, and it's your way into our super awesome SGCO group. I know I'm a strict as hell group owner, but I protect my "kids" and we want to make sure that our members aren't creepy, mean, or whatever before we let them in.
You never know.
I can't say I've been doing much in the way of being interesting, but I did have a giant burrito the other day:
It's one of those "you can't find it unless you know it's there" places, and it's surprisingly owned by the same guy who owns the best/fanciest restaurants in town. Apparently, he won Top Chef at one point. This is the one restaurant he has that the menu doesn't constantly change and have unique concoctions on it.
(If you ever come to Colorado Springs, have the steak tips at the Blue Star, because it'll be the best thing that's ever been put in your mouth!)
In other news, my wardrobe is pretty much all nerdy t-shirts and dresses. People probably assume I'm a "fake" geek girl, but my life revolves around all things that are nerdy. I've always been that comic collecting girl. And I actually have discovered the new X-men comics (Marvel Now series) as being awesome. It's an all-girl X-men cast, and Storm is in it, so is Pixie, so I'm so super happy. Growing up, I've always wanted to be Storm. I remember being so sad that I couldn't be her because I'm the whitest white girl ever. I'm still wondering if I can pull off a Storm cosplay without it offending someone. But I know I can pull off Pixie since she's a tiny girl with pink hair!
It's pretty amazing to see women being all the heroes of the series.
So I have one more update for Coloradans:
I'll be there! And I have a little less than 2 months to figure out what to wear...
And I'll say goodbye with a picture of me as Iron Man from Denver Comic Con:
