My birthday is in less than 2 weeks. It's something I dread annually. Too many bad memories to care for it anymore...
I'll be spending it alone this year. My loved ones will be away or busy, so I'm probably going to try to sleep through the entire day. I'll be requesting Ambien from my doctor tomorrow.
Parties that no one can make it to are overrated anyhow...
Monday, the 6th, is the premier of MasterChef (with yours truly starring as a contestant). I'm nervous as hell to see how I'm portrayed. Also nervous because I have an interview with the local Fox station early that morning to talk about my experience. I'm making the news casters some pretty yummy cupcakes from scratch (not that there's really any other way to make them in my mind).
June 30th, my new set shot by Hildreth is going into member review. I'm hoping you all will love it. It inexplicably has 2 comments on it already (?). I know I haven't shared the link at all, but whatevs.
Anyhow, here's a preview from it:

The highlight of my week so far was going to my town's street fair and watching the tortoise in the petting zoo try to eat a grape after it almost mowed over the tiniest goat I've ever seen. (I'm easily amused by animals). We had some awesome Greek food for dinner, and the night before that, I ate the best damned steak tips I've ever experienced in my life. That food was better than sex. Seriously!
If it's anything I love, it's food, eating, and cooking.
