It figures after an epic week, things kind of went sour for a bit.
Our pet turtle, Pickels, died. I'm so devastated. We only had him for a little under 2 months. He kind of accidentally killed himself, so he wasn't sick or abused. He was just too curious for his own good and got himself stuck somewhere he couldn't get out of. It's so tragic. And my koi pond isn't the same without my baby turtle butt swimming around and poking his head up at me.
Other than that tragedy, I've not done much in the "notable" category.
I got some great trail running shoes at a shoe store here in town where they make you run on a track and analyze your feet to find you shoes that will be best for you. I spent about 45 minutes on the in-store track and running around downtown, while an Australian dude stared intently at how my feet hit the pavement. I figured that making an ass out of myself for about an hour would be beneficial to me in the long run, since my EDS tends to make my legs, knees, and back hurt from the lack of an arch in my feet. So far, the most expensive sneakers I've ever bought are helping.
I also went to an amazing antique art store downtown after the shoe thing. My tattoo artist told me I needed to go in there, and she was right. They even had an original Chinese Terracotta Horse in there. I didn't even want to ask how much that was. I'm also slightly sure that they are illegal to import these days, so that'll add an extra fortune to its price.
After my not so eventful week, I treated myself to a whole shit-ton of Lush bath products. Hopefully they'll be here within the next few days. (Our closest Lush store is in Boulder... *sigh*)
Yup. My life is so not epic...
And I really miss my turtle!

Also, I am sorry about your wee turtle. That is rather sad.
