it's quite obvious when i'm happy. i bounce around at work, smiling at nothing and even when i'm not smiling with my mouth, i still feel like my eyes are happy. so yes, sgland, i am a smiley mess. even discovering that the eggs i bought to cook for supper were frozen (i know. wtf) and i have to take them back has not brought me down.

i have a ridiculous amount of cleaning to do before my mom gets here and it just doesn't seem to be doing itself, which is quite dismal. arggggg. i'm supposed to be going to like 4 show openings tonight but i know i can't get everything done if i do that, ESPECIALLY with this frozen-egg setback. i just want a god damn omelette!!

i'm reading fugitive pieces for the umpteenth time. it makes me feel soooo good.

i suppose i should go do some responsible grownup stuff. i'd rather be lost in my thoughts and read up a storm, though. i have some lovely things to think about. like bog mummies and biskupin and the willendorf venus and the earth's magnetic fields guiding salmon home. cellular memory, parasalenae, parhelions, and the slow passage of glaciers. yes, a lot on my mind.
