i am so shaky right now. i just finished recording an album.
for some reason, on saturday night i decided to record an album by the time i went back to work at the library, which is wednesday. so i figured i'd plan on getting it done by tuesday, since i wouldn't have time before work on wednesday to finish. for some strange reason, i finished it tonight. my fingers are so soft because i haven't been playing guitar lately, but today i played for like 3 hours or something ridiculous. if anyone reading this is a guitar player they will understand. my fingers are red, tender and blistered by I HAVE MY GOD DAMN ALBUM. i am going to draw a new cover for every cd.
i wrote two new songs for it and put on a few songs i have written lately. there are two cover songs and there is a song on it that's about a year old. i wrote it for someone i'm not friends with anymore, but it never worked out right when i was first writing it. today i looked at it and BAM i just figured it out and now it sounds awesome! i am such the best.
i recorded it on my computer so of course the sound quality is crap but i am still pretty proud of it. it's only like 10 hours of labour, but still. that's 10 hours i could have spent NOT trashing my place in a fit of creativity.
that said, if anyone wants one, send me 5 bucks. i don't suck, i promise. you could ask weetzie, malloriegh or meanwhilethecat if you don't believe me. granted, they are my friends, but i'm sure if i'm not eavesdropping, they will tell you the truth.
also good: today i got a package from cordy! she sent me a really cool little glass from playa del carmen, where she was last week. she also sent me a flower she pressed. getting mail is so damn cool
anyway, i'm off to clean up after since my avalanche of creativity has subsided.
a music-related update:
a friend of mine who has his own independant label wants to help me put a REAL album together. he has even offered to do accompaniment and backup vocals for me.
colour me surprised!! so within the near future you may hear some really good music by me!

Im still reeling about your town..11,000..I've been to concerts in London with that many people and Im just imagining your town in a big concert hall!! Its looks beautiful though.
