okay, that second part was a total lie. being sick is decidedly NOT fun. i have had a crazy headache raging for the past couple days. it's maageable right now, as i have taken way too many tylenol/benadryl/advil whatevers, but this morning i could hardly stand it was so painful. i wrapped a bandana around my eyes and slept in till 12.30 pm!! i seem to have caught the house cold; jemma was sick last week, now i am talking like i have chain smoked since i was four. even better: jim is getting sick too!! redmess better watch herself or she may become infected too!!
♥ i am headed to the dominican republic with my dad, stepmom and brother in 23 days. should i even bother getting a base tan? i don't plan on tanning while i am there--i am going to be a sunscreen fiend, as my skin does not do well with sun and i have some precious tattoos that i do not want to fade--so is going to the tanning salon to get a base tan a good idea or no? my dad says i should get a tan so that the locals don't try to rip me off when it comes to buying trinkets, but i don't really care about that...

♥ i started a new painting! it is an icon portrait of st zita, the incorruptible. 'oh,' you may think, 'i did not know that rin was religious!' indeed, i am not, but st zita is a mummy and if you know me you know my ever-abiding love of all things mummy.
♥ i want to be a witch when i grow up. they are good at herbology and intimidating people and i think folklore got them all wrong when charles perrault and the bros. grimm cleaned it up a few hundred years ago. what's the harm in an awesome lady who knows her shit and won't let you jive-talk her? that's what i THOUGHT. everyone knows they don't actually devour children! besides, i already have the cat part down! my cat is the best.
