damn.. I wish I was in a position to help. I guess I am in a way but I have been so focused the last 3 to 4 years on eliminating all my debts and buying a house it has kept me in a state of "no disposable income poverty" (not real poverty mind you....)

I used to feel the same as you regarding holiday's.... but as I got older I came to value those things I used to dismiss. I do not know the intimacies of your familial relationships but if they are not completely disasterous/abusive I suspect there will come a time when you will value that time as much as I do now.

In the meantime the doubletime at work and not having to hassle with things is not so bad either. smile

Job search is going okay so far. Two interviews so far, one I am really interested in (even if they did move the dang job from downtown portland to vancouver.. uggghhh) and one I am not sure how interested I am in it.

I spammed out the resume to 6 other jobs yesterday so I am going to sit and see if any of those come back anytime soon.

yeah I made good money before that is for sure. I do not need to make that much again but I probably need to make at least 74K at a minimum. Even at that I would be keeping my eyes out for something a bit better or with a better bonus.

here anything from WAMU yet? I hear they are expanding big time in Bend also. Nothing on my job front yet.

I know I can find a job I am not worried about that. The key is can I find one that pays me enough to cover the new house I bought. I could sell my car but since it is a convertible I would have to wait till about April to June to sell it and get the best money for it.

Sigh...

I made too much at my last job. I did a good job of using that to pay off a lot of bills... but I ramped them all up again to buy the house. Oh my.. I am going to miss the 92K I was up to this year!!

If you must get another car, the Mazda 3 is a nice bet. But get one about 2 years old. Let someone else pay for the new car deprecation and you can get one much cheaper and still under warranty.

The 4th of July was fun. I worked at both jobs making time and a half at the old folks place. While at Safeway it was double time and a half. Woot! Woot!

I can't wait for that paycheck.
