The police officer had already decided Philando was a threat before he even approached him in the car. He already had decided he was dangerous based on his ‘ wide nose matching a suspect of another crime.’ He already perceived himself in danger before a word was shared between them. His perceived threat put him on hyper-alert which interacted with a probably terrified Philando, who...

Coin after coin makes a clinking sound as it drops into your insatiable piggy bank. You sit with your eyes bulging with greed, hands motioning for the next, feet kicking with joy, intermittently shaking the bank in your pale, boney hands. You hide behind a noble cause, you hide behind a team of passionate people, but the longer these people work underneath your thumb; the...

My dog believes every thunderstorm is the second coming of the Christ and will certainly end us all, as our souls are far too blackened for redemption, the grim reaper will arrive just around the next storm cloud to doom us all.

While it is a rare occasion that I have to hold a conversation with you, whenever I do ( out of social duties/ norms) you never fail to show me why I avoid having any conversation with you.

One would think with such limited contact with a part of your own flesh and blood, you would savor the minutes and use them for connecting, but...

i am so sorry. It sucks when you want to have a relationship but you realize they are just not a nice person. I can only speak for myself but I decided a few years ago to cut hate out of my life. It meant stopping to speak with some friends and family members. I miss the relationships as I remember them from simpler times. But I definitely feel my life is better without their poison. Hugs.

Sometimes I feel like the word ‘ bi-curious’ is just as much of a repellent as ‘virgin’. I find women intensely attractive, I always have! But this was an area I did not allow myself to touch in my formative years because the formers in my life were so closed- minded. When I left for college this part of my mind began to expand but...

jeanbean:
I think people get hesitant ofy the bi-curious label because to many times people use it to be trendy. I am not saying you are. But people say they are bi curious when they really aren't. As for taking that first step, it is a big one. Maybe you can approach it as "just sex". You can experiment, explore, do what ever. It doesn't have to change anything in your life. I am happily married to my husband and sleep with women. I have never felt like I had to chose just one side. I think one of the easiest ways to experiment is a threesome or group scenario.  I think it puts you more at ease since it is more familiar and there is less pressure. Everyone just kind of plays with everyone.  As for people not wanting to be your first, you would be surprised. A lot of people enjoy being the teacher. I would just be honest up front. Keep things light. Let them go where they lead. You might try going to a lesbian club if you have one around. Just tell people you meet you are new to the scene. You probably will be amazed how many people will take you under their wing. Sex with a woman is no different than sex with a man. Their is no "right" way to do it. Everyone is different and likes different things. You will figure out what your partner likes in the same way you find what a guy likes, communication and experimentation. you will be fine :)

one from last year:

This obnoxious gnawing.

It waxes and wanes

And chips and flakes

And melts all back together again. A steady, constant predictable state .. necessary. Yet boring. Frustrating and easy to take for granted, take advantage of or simply ignore, resent and feel spite… and pity, distaste and complete misunderstanding.

A new beginning of a flicker, immediate danger. Red. Flag. Keep going…...

older one I found:

You snuck your way into the corridor, I saw you there, indifferent to the threat you carry. I let you linger as I watched from my lackluster corner.

Slowly you sauntered my way, and I failed to flee, I failed to resist, I failed to put up a guard, and allowed the security of my mind be breeched.

You saw, you...
