As far as finding Lennon's music goes, I had a difficult time too. I got into her from a CD sampler a friend gave me. Her album "5:30 Saurday Morning" came out on the worst possible date...........9/11. Thus, the distribution got all fucked up; also Arista records never knew how to promote rock bands well. It took me a while, but I eventually found her ablum at a Newbury Comics (new England record/comicbook store chain).

She's got audio samples on her site www.lennonmurphy.com. Also, you can dl her new mp3 "Nothing Out of Me" off her upcoming album. If you catch her live on the current Girlz Garage tour, they are selling both 5:30 and her new otherwise only sold on internet acoustic album. Both are worth picking up. The acoustic album "Career Suicide", is great to listen when you're feeling down. Check it out.

Also, if you get to see her live, and if you see her hanging out afterwards, don't be shy. Go say hi to her, and she'll autograph your album if you ask. One of the coolest women I've EVER met in my life.

The singing sounds cool. I always wanted to be a singer, but I only got as far as high school choir and talent shows. I still sing for myself in the car though. LOL. I have a friend who wants me to sing at her wedding, but I could possibly die of stage-fright, so we'll see.

You "started drinking again"? Hmmm. Since you phrased it like this, I assume that it's been a problem in the past. Good luck drinking in moderation. I know I could never do that. The job was a web design job. But they weren't totally clear when they posted the job offer. They were looking for a salesperson more than anything, and it's not my kinda job. So, I told them I wasn't interested. Oh, well, something else will turn up eventually. I still have a contract, so I'm not desperate.....yet.

You just need a great big hug. It's frustrating that your friends don't respect you with the drinking/stoned thing. It's not good for you. Those kinds of things don't cheer someone up. It creates more depression.

I know exactly how you feel. I have all of two friends in my life and they are both clueness to the way my head and heart tick. I've known them all my life so they are really more like family, I guess. I long for someone to really connect with, but all I seem to find are shallow assholes. I am also tempted to grab the bottle of Vodka, but then I remember that I've been sober for 9+ years and I like it that way. I just want to feel better, you know? It's too bad that I'm not in SoCal. I'd drink loads of tea/coffee with you, and talk (and listen) your ear off.

You're not alone in feeling the way that you do, and even though I'm far away, I am hear for you to vent, talk or whatever.
