well, my "vacation" is almost done. my mom and step-father return on Monday the 13th. oh the joys.

so I have now changed the front brakes of my car and a rear wheel bearing. actually, a wheel hub.

and easier than the brakes!

take off the tire
take off the brake drum (that big metal cover thing)
take off the dust cap
remove the nut
remove the hub
push on the new hub
put on the nut, torque to 160 foot lbs. (or...

so my neighbor took a look at my car....you push the top and/or bottom of the back tire where the noise was coming from.....and it moves.

he's guessing a rear wheel bearing.
