well, my "vacation" is almost done. my mom and step-father return on Monday the 13th. oh the joys.
what happens when they get back? well, my 2nd cousin (I think...she's my mom's cousin) has been in North Carolina with her pregnant daughter (3rd child....her husband is deployed in Iraq now I think), and plans to be there through December
so we're going to pick up her car and keep an eye on it for the time being. after all, with that much time, a car won't do too well left not running (without some preventative stuff done beforehand).
sent out 2 job applications today. I have 2 more written ones to go out as well. and then a few more that have popped up. one is a long-term sub position of September 1 through October 30 with possibility for working longer. ehh, it might be good. who knows. also one job I applied for has been re-listed. I think I'm going for it again....this time, though, work on getting everything uploaded to the system as well.
and keeping an eye out for a few other positions....one school district just had a counselor hang himself. and the big money district in the area has a position for a Counseling Team Leader....that creates a domino effect opening up another counseling job.
and if all else fails....maybe I might look at what it takes to move into youth probation. something to get my career rolling!
think that's about it...just finished watching the season premiere of Eureka. looks like they might be doing an extra-terrestrial focus for the season...not sure what that will be like. time to take a shower and get ready for work!
