so today, woke up to snow...which made my 10 minute commute to work last 50 minutes. yeah, it sucked. then around 2:30 PM, we're told we're closing early. we have the potential of a severe snow storm. fine by me. I came home, put on a Dream Theater DVD to do some work, and now I'm watching a Lennon DVD (yes, the Suicide Girl Lennon). so a nice way to do work.
hmm, what else is new with me? a few weeks ago I saw signs of a mouse under my sink (heard some noise, saw my ant traps torn open, one of them was actually gone, as if something ate it! there are pipes under my sink with holes cut out, so I'm guessing the mouse (or whatever) came up through one of the holes. I covered them with empty glass jars, saw no signs. next day, got a 2 pack of mouse traps. put them out....and hear one go off within an hour. its one of those traps where you don't see what is caught. so gave it a >shake shake< and there's something there (plus heavier than the other trap). wrapped it up and out it went to the dumpster. the other trap is still under the sink....just in case! if I pay rent....you're not living here for free!
and thinking....should I invest in a dating site, such as Match.com? been single for way too many years (going on 11 years now, depending on how you define things) with no real end in sight. one person I'm interested in....well, she's not interested in dating right now, and has told me I've been single too long, so she won't date me. keep in mind she's also told me I "get her" and that is one of the reasons why she likes me. whatever....its annoying. so what's the view of people here? just curious!
yeah, that's about it. signed my renewal for my apartment....the rent did not change. scary to think I've been in my own place for over a year now. already wanting to move things around. don't like everything being in the same place for too long. plus want to start changing up what i have. I was given a dining room table, and thinking a replacement could be nice (to keep it more in line with everything else I have). we'll see....all depends on finances.
and that's about it...time to weather this (potential) storm. how's life with you?
