well, another job rejection today....Lake Placid. i was told that they reviewed all the resumes and such...yaddee yaddee yaddee. funny how the on-line system I used to apply for the job shows whether or not the application has been reviewed or not...guess what! it wasn't.
ehh, whatever. fuck it. I've wanted to get the position of school counselor since 2005. and right now, I'm ready to throw the entire dream out the window and go for whatever I can get. enough of this constant rejection because I don't have job experience or don't know anyone in the field or don't bend over backwards and kiss some administrator's ass. who cares if I can actually do the job and have students who to this day let me know how much I helped them. that doesn't matter as much as who you know, right? guess I'm burned out in the field of education...without ever really working in the field.
so I've applied at Paychex, a local company. and will be looking wherever. honestly, if someone told me a few years ago that getting into education would be so difficult, fuck it. I would have stuck it out in Res Life or something else. hoenstly.
oh, yeah, and the more I look at what Patterson did, the more I'm wanting to find out somewhere to write in and tell the governemnt about his abuse of the system. he took $140 million of the stimulus money from the government, added $35 million from a gift to the state from a billionaire, and figured the best way to provide school supplies for families in need was to give $200 to all welfare and food stamp receipients in New York State who have a child between the age of 3 and 17, regardless if the child is in school or not. yup, and now I see why finding a job in education in New York state is tougher than finding an honest politician. and the fucker didn't even get elected...he got the job because people got pissed off that the previous Governor got caught seeing a hooker and spending his own money, not state funds. whatever.
