so last night, for the first time in a long time, I finally slept through the night completely. the past few weeks (3 or 4 actually) I've been falling asleep around 5 AM and getting up around 10:30 AM or so. fall back asleep and what not.
last night, though, due to having to wake up around 5:30 AM, I went to bed around 9:30 PM. I slept through as well. I did not wake up at 3 AM or anything....I'm so happy!
so in other news, those who have been following my cousin's unfolding drama....on Saturday, his oldest son, without any prompting or anything, stood up and said how he and his younger (middle child) brother both lied about the allegations against my cousin. since my cousin is currenlty under supervised visitation until things are settled, the statement was made in front of a third party that is reporting everything to the children's attorney. furthermore, my cousin's oldest indicated that they were put up to telling the lie and coached.
so Monday, the observor has to make some phone calls...perhaps to the CPS agent investigating as well as the children's lawyer.
now, for me, time to recover. I worked outside today from 7:30 AM to around 3:20 PM, with a 1/2 lunch break there. I was pushing carts on the first day here in Rochester where we hit 90 F. yeah, it was hot here (32.2 C for the non-US people here). one of the people working is quitting today...so he's doing the "slacker" style of work....I talked to the one kid that came in at 3 PM, he told me it was like that on Saturday as well. the coordinators have been clued in as well...the kid quitting today might find his shift ending running register (which he hates). serves him right.
and yeah, that's about it...I took a shower before going into work, and took another one when I get out of work. I was that grimy and sweaty. now, I'm sitting here in a t-shirt and pajama pants and realizing that I have to go out to find something to eat....hmm, perhaps the drive-thru?
and on Wednesday, I got to fix a computer....one of my managers, who's really really nice, had her laptop acting up. her husband tends to visit the porn sites....
with anti-virus software that's a few years outdated.... double
. so, yeah, her computer had problems.
cleaned things off, took off Norton and installed a free virus scanner and some free spyware scanning software. and realized she had a program (PCenter), that when I googled it, many people talked about it being malware. finally, her husband decided to put a (fairly nice) picture involving 2 girls as her desktop...since she's a biology teacher, I changed her desktop image to a failrly cool image of the DNA molcule that I found instead. so today, as a thank-you (since I refused payment), she gave me a $10 gift card to Wegmans. that should help out!
so that's my day....my sister visited yesterday. with the thing she married, her sister-in-law and her husband, and her in-laws also came over. and their dog. because of everyone there and food, we put the dog outside in back (where there's lots of shade, so no bitching). and made sure he had plenty of water...here's some pictures I took of their dog....
it was funny, my step-father went out to visit the dog (Xander), and Xander was all jumping up and down, mouth open and trying to chew on his arm or something.
me, I went out to see the dog and pet him...first off, gave him the command to sit, then the command to lay down. started petting him, and the dog was fine. no jumping or biting.
guess showing the dog who is boss makes a difference, huh?
