"interesting work" conversation....some girls came in, talking. one girl is "I'm trying to figure it out...how do I start it?"

so I ask.

she says "Friends with benefits."

I tell her "If its with a guy, probably not too difficult."

she left.

and how was your week?
jtx:
Uhm maybe with more back story this would be even more interesting....
ryu:
Wow, not that intriguing!

I mean mine wasn't as intriguing as your sounds... not that your comment wasn't that intriguing.... eugh, you know what I mean.

so continuing the job searching...honestly, almost 2 years of this bullshit. and still going on.

oh well...continue to defer my student loans. if Citibank says anything, I'll ask what big banks helped to create a situation where the schools had to lay off so many people, that the job market might be glutted for years with experienced professionals, making job searching for someone brand new...

well, no phone call, its been about 2 weeks. so time to continue searching.

just wish someone told me BEFORE I went into Grad School "Unless you know someone in the field to help you get in, don't bother."

I wouldn't have bothered then.

damn hypocrites...state that education is all about a level playing field for everyone...well, everyone except those trying to get a job...

so can't sleep...think its a combination of things. I slept from about 10 AM to 7 PM or so today, after working overnight. the initial shift wasn't too bad, since I got to do nothing but read (GQ with Olivia "I'm a babe' WIlde and World War Z). the front end had a crew in stripping and re-waxing the floor.

which isn't too bad, except...

"Hypothetically, you get a call at 9 PM saying some students were in a car accident, even some fatalities, what do you do?"

my answer....first off, contact the Principal, then game plan from there. let's get...

so my former advisor responded....of this past graduating class, 2 found a position.

yeah, I seriously need to get out of a state who's governor (that was not elected, by the way but assumed the role when the previous, elected governor resigned over a scandal) is more concerned about figuring out ways to put money (with no strings attached) into the hands of the people...

Ah New York governors...One a blind bastard who admits he couldn't keep his hands to himself in the past. The last a dude who paid outrageous amounts for quasi-deviant behavior.

Getting off overnights is good. I wish I was back on days but that's never going to happen. I don't drop by chat often, but I'll have to drop by some point if only to ridicule the elderly and yourself.

2 new people hired at my store....

Person A: Okay, training starts at 7:00 AM, I'm there and ready to go at 6:45 AM. I'm a little nervous and quiet, but when they put me on the system, I'm quick. and when other people talk to me, I at least say "Hi."

Person B: for a 7:00 AM training, I get there at 7:30 AM....

ever go on Facebook (or a similar website), and find someone that you haven't talked to in a good 10+ years?

and you want to contact them...but realize they probably won't remember you. yet you still remember them.

yeah...I just did.

damn memory....honestly, a good memory is not always a good thing!

Gotta love facebook for that - it's only awkward when said people you haven't talked to add you...and then you still don't talk
kadium:
I actually try to avoid people from my younger days, other than a couple people I've held onto throughout. I'll run into people who remember me from time to time, but I don't remember them and don't have much interest in even trying. Then again I'm not really a people person - now or then. If they paid any attention at all they should expect a bit of indifference.
