so can't sleep...think its a combination of things. I slept from about 10 AM to 7 PM or so today, after working overnight. the initial shift wasn't too bad, since I got to do nothing but read (GQ with Olivia "I'm a babe' WIlde and World War Z). the front end had a crew in stripping and re-waxing the floor.
which isn't too bad, except for the chemical smell. except said crew waits for the was to dry and then leaves. its up to us to put everything back.
thankfully the front-end manager went "Oh crap, we gotta put everything back!" and came in early.
what did it entail? moving back candy racks (heavier than you think). replacing coolers full of 20 ounce bottles (and no wheels). a helium tank and balloon station. a really heavy rack of free periodicals. yup, lots of stuff, and only some of it had wheels.
I launched into that by 6:10. we got done around 8:15 AM. punched for lunch and away I went. oh how fun it was.
the other problem is I'm anticipating ANOTHER job rejection. read my last "friend's only" blog to see what I've been going through. found a forum in fact....I posted on it. here is the link...I'm the post "dbj2k in Rochester, NY". seriously, if I get rejected from this job and told its because I don't have job experience, something that my former advisor said "I don't know what to tell you," I'm going to the career center on campus and going "So what the fuck do I have to do? Fuck someone silly? Suck off the superintendent? What?" figure that will go over welll at a Christian college where you can get in trouble for swearing on campus. and see what answer she can come up with.
and I think that's about it. now sure if I'm going to try sleep or not. I work again overnight Thursday night. Friday and Saturday late night. Sunday night and Monday night overnight. who knows what else....yeah, small wonder that my sleep schedule is so off, huh?
