so easiest way to fold laundry....wait until laundry day and you have virtiually nothing left to fold!

in other news...it was in the teens (F) yesterday...now its almost 30 F. so we went from bitter cold to almost near the freezing point.

or as Lewis Black once said..."This weather is out of control....and my balls can't take it anymore! Up down, up down, up down...I"m...

Gaiman is awesome. Finished The Last Temptation and now reading The Graveyard Book. We pretty much got whatever the library had.

so my head hurts and I got the aches and pains that tell me one thing....I got a f*cking cold. time to hypercharge things to beat this thing out of my system in a few days.

Geez. And people here complain about the cold when it's in the 30s.

Hope you beat the cold asap. Being sick is no fun. frown

bittersweet day today (kind of).

got an e-mail telling me that I need to fill out some paperwork, then I become an active substittute teacher for Greece (where I live). it gets my foot in the door and gets me known.

then my step-father called around 12:25 PM. telling me that his mother died around 12:10 PM this today. she went in the hospital last...

so trying to start up a weekly chat for my Psychology group...rotate around the time and topic. I want this to develop to something more driven by the group members and less driven by me. how nice it would be if the chat room had some way to post what the topic is. but it doesn't!

what else? pending some paperwork, I will soon be...

Don't you have full editing abilities as group owner? Sticky the subject for the week with the date and time at the top of the threads or ask members to come up with ideas and vote on it (or two weeks in advance if need be). You should be able to delete the old threads and post a new one each week. This is done by other group owners for vouching purposes. smile

so Raiders won today...is Grontkowski their QB to build the team around? he did throw for 300 yards against the Pittsburgh Steelers!

my step-father's mother has been moved to Hospice care. I really don't think she'll be leaving the hospital.

and tomorrow (the 7th) marks five years that my family and I were left behind. it still sucks. and still kind of "stuck" where I'm...

With this win the Raiders still won't make the playoffs!
aepaul:
Well, the Raiders more than anything else just need Al Davis to go away. As long as he's running the show, that team will go nowhere, no matter who is at QB. I still think they should have had Jeff Garcia getting a shot. That guy's a stud, and has played through some horrendous injuries.

As for the books, my wife just said she got a bunch so I'll read them as we get them.

Back to Russell, yes, he's a bust. The other question I have with the Raiders is what's the deal with Javon Walker? That guy used to be an elite WR. Why isn't he being used? Is his injury really that bad?

You have to wonder with the Raiders because receivers go there all the time, then leave and they're good again. For example Randy Moss. James Lofton.

a fun week next week....overnights Sunday and Monday nights, noon to 4:00 PM Wednesday, and then 6 AM to 10:30 AM Friday morning. a Saturday night off...what? what shall I do?

and thinking of switching from Spring to AT&T for my cell phone. I can go from paying $40 a month...

well, my step-father's mother is being transferred to Hospice care now....the doctors figure about 2 weeks now.

is this a fourth reason to hate the month of December?

Im sorry to hear this frown

Why is December such a bad month? What continues this time, every year, year in, year out?
aepaul:
Well, that's the thing. I used to love reading Kurt Vonnegut, Edward Abbey, Isabelle Allende, etc. Real novels. I think I'll buy that Neil Gaiman this weekend.

so interview for a per-diem substitute teacher position in about 10 1/2 hours..wish me luck. should I tell them that Monday and Tuesday are the 2 days a week I can't work? because of my part-time job (and a guaranteed 16 hours) instead of an inconsistent job. now, if offered a long-term sub position, then I'm taking it (more money and very consistent).

and my...

so fun news on the horizon....

as many of those who contact me on a regular basis know, my cousin is going through a divorce. long story short...his wife last year started going out 5 to 7 nights a week with a group of female co-workers of hers, drinking and partying it up. she would leave my cousin alone all night, with no vehicle (at...

so definitely did some damage to my elbow...not sure how (get your minds out of the gutter, pervs! not that!).

sometimes I get a nice dull ache when using my arms at work (reaching, grabbing, moving stuff around).

sometmes a shooting pain.

and when I straighten my elbow, I can hear a little cracking or something...and it seems to go a little farther than it...

I think you are being justified. I have a hard time feeling bad for people that have done nothing good and have just made things harder for people.

aldremech:
Moses rode a plesiosaur across the Red Sea, Then rode a Brontosaurus into Egypt against Pharoah. A mighty battle ensuedwink
