About a decade ago I was staying at a friends down in Alabama & was going to help him fix his ac. His dog Daisy, a crazy Jack Russell, wouldn’t let me near the condenser unit & attacked as soon as I got the cover off, a nest of rattlers!! I’m Irish, we don’t do snakes - Similar acrobatics as yourself, but I didn’t go back! Daisy killed the whole lot of them & always got a special treat when I visited after that, but I haven’t been in his yard since!

I picked up 'How to Win Friends and Influence People' thinking it would help my social life. I'm only halfway through, and I've already managed to accidentally offend my mailman. At this rate, I'll be completely isolated by chapter 10. Anyone else have self-help books completely backfire on them?
