Well, my holiday(s) were pretty decent. Didn't do much, but then again, I didn't want to. Hung out with my roommate and got drunk on X-mas Eve. I actually made it out of the house for NY Eve though...went to a pre-party party...even contributed to the baked goods. Felt good to cook again after so many months having gone without. I ruined a batch of...

Finally got a call back from the company I applied too several weeks ago. Interviewed today. I think it went well, but I was a bit flustered for the first 15 minutes or so. After 4 hours, I was still there, so it's a good sign. Buddy of mine told me that the position is mine to turn down, which is nice. I don't wanna...

Updated my resume today. Nearly had a heart attack, because I thought I lost it. A friend of a friend is hooking up an interview at his company for me. It's a production role, which I'm happy with. Working in the video game industry has its rewards, but is not short on stress and other complications. After 10 years of grinding, I decided it was...

Thankyou for the lovely comment on my set sweetie

No juice today, I'm afraid. My computer is acting up, so I'm having trouble doing even simple things, such as surf the net. This being said, I've been forced to endure the horrors of cable TV. I'm glad that my roommate foots the bill for it. I live 10 years without watching any TV, so I wouldn't miss it if it were gone.

What to say, what to say? I have plenty to say, but not sure how much will actually make it here to print. It's been a long time since my last confession...er...update. Mostly keeping myself occupied with my music project, but having a bit of a mental block...can't seem to finish it!

Well, it's been awhile. Been busy lately. Not working, but with other personal interests. I "celebrated" my 30th B-day over the weekend. I'm so lame, I forgot to set up a little event...which generally consists of a Happy Hour someplace. I don't like when people buy me stuff for any reason, so I generally pay for it. Guess I'm funny that way...don't want your gifts...

thanks for the comment on my set luv.

Bleh, I pretty much wasted the last 2 weeks trying to put a consultancy gig together. Though I like to think of myself as temporarily "semi-retired", I still wouldn't mind a job here and there to keep the juices flowing and get some extra income.
Anyway, I've been going back and forth on terms...basically the what, when, and compensation. These jokers finally respond offering half...

Thanks for your comment on my set! #43 is one of my faves too

I feel better this morning. My last entry was somewhat negative. I try to maintain a positive self-image, though sometimes things seep out of my id.
It's up for debate though...am I a genuinely happy person who projects a melancholy image, or a generally melancholy person who projects a happy image. BIG difference. I'd rather be the former, as perceived image is easy to change....

Material possessions do matter, as much as we'd like to deny that they don't. I don't think enjoying what you have is a bad thing, it's the constant desire to have new shit all the time that gets us down. I think it's nice that you miss all of your old stuff...it just sucks that it's so far away.
There's nothing wrong with being a hermit once in awhile either...it's nice to take a break from all the dizzying social politics once in awhile and enjoy some time to yourself. Is there something about your interactions with your circle of friends that doesn't seem to satisfy you?

Well, I missed a day, but then again, I had nothing much to say yesterday. I was pretty hung over...don't recall how many beers I had at my friend's get together the other night. Dealing with IKEA with a hangover...bad...putting your IKEA furniture together while hung over...worse...realizing you picked up the wrong hutch for your new desk AFTER it was built...loser of the week award...

Just thought I'd make an entry while was sipping on my coffee. I like to roast my own, but the roaster is in storage, so I've just been buying 2.5 lb. *$ bags from Costco. I normally don't drink Starbucks, but it's a means to an end. It's hard to find a fresh bag, but you can usually do well by looking for those that...

Oh man, now I want coffee. Not a practical thing to want at 2 am or when I have none.
I just buy whatever is cheapest though.
