Huh! You know life is funny
When you look at it
Everybody wants love
But everybodys afraid of love
You know Im a true believer that
If ya get anything out of life
Youve got to put it with the toils and strife
Now listen hoo-ooo
Youre pushin my love
A little bit too far

being wrong every so often is rather refreshing. it lets you know that there's a lot in this world that you don't know shit about. forgive me, i'm a work in progress.
i'm not too sure why but the last few trips i've made to the dentist have been white knuckle affairs. going into the office i can feel the tension at the base of my neck. its the strangest thing because i never got freaked out when i was a youngster, even when i got my first two teeth pulled. anyways, i guess you could say...

i've got a dentist appointment in half an hour. looks like a trip to san diego is in order for this coming weekend. didn't do a whole lot this weekend but everything i did do was in a super skunk-induced haze. and seeing all the fun that was had at disneyland over the weekend kind of makes me feel about as left out as a...

yesterday was 100% t-c-o-b, as elvis used to say. takin' care of business indeed. found out that my role as big porn defender has been expanded to include drafting press releases. went to the gym during my lunch hour. saw my special girl and got some skunk and another strain called white rhino. she's so good to me. visited mama shady and got my hair...

last nights show was positively a hard rockin good time. didn't care for bluebird and the division of laura lee was somewhat less than inspiring. the locusts were kind of refreshing and amusing in their own unique hardcore-punk-where-the-rubber-meets-the-road kind of way but i'm sure i reached the limit of how many 80 second slash, bang, and scream sessions...

Congrats on the test!!! Always feels strangely good to excel on instituional exams...even when we often berate the concept of testing ones intelligence with these "national forms" over steaming cups of coffee on rainy days in a dark coffee shop that smells of sandalwood...come on, ya know you 've had the conversation...but it still feel good to know we are smart according to "them". I was obsessed with the SATs, back in high school...and AP tests...My older sister was insane when she took the LSAT untill she found she had done well...

i'm afraid that i had two or three too many oat sodas last night at the tenacious d show. but the post-alcohol angst that i feel today is more than made up for by the fact that jb and kg rocked my fuckin socks off last nite at the house of blues in downtown disney. highlights included jb bt-ing on ept in the desert, kg...

The fat bastard was good...on furthur inspection it was a shiraz from France! Interesting, one does not think of shiraz grapes growing in the "old country" of wines...ever had muscadine? Very southern, but interstingly sweet, a bit like Gewursteimmer (I am sure I misspelled that) Dinner: veal and paprika sour cream potatoes. More port post dinner.
My old man recently read the "Diary of Laura Palmer" He loved it, and usually he reads books like "Nuclear War and You" and "Saddam Hussein, the biography"
I believe Laura palmer was the fucked up girl in that series...he read me sections...steamy and terribly strange.

ain't nuthin like a little commercial therapy to perk up one's day. just got back from lunch with brother bradley. before scoring some piping hot tofu for our dejeuner, we went wine shopping and i got five bottles! party at my crib! anyone feel like getting sauced with one tonite? i got three bottles of argentinian wine (merlot, shiraz and malbec), one bottle of australian...

I could appreciate this...but by now all wine has vanished I am sure...
Funny, we wet our whistles...and much more... with some vino last night also...
Got a nice 20 yr bottle of port, and delicately sipped it with microwaved hohos...tres decadent
Have you ever had Fat bastard? A Shiraz also I believe.
WE got a bottle and haven't drank it yet, if it is good it makes for an amusing yet tasty Christmas present.
Are you into the wonderful Beaujolais Nouveau season? I always look forward to a couple of bottles at Thanksgiving, makes me more thankful.
I am not much of a French wine drinker, except anything from Chateau-Neuf-de Pape. I like SuperTuscan...Tiganello, Sassicaia, Brunello di Montalino (My favorite in the world)
I won four hundred dollars at a roulette table in Biloxi Mississippi and spent it all at dinner with two bottle of my sweet sweet Brunello.
It is amazing when you actually start tasting "good" wines ho wyour appreciation changes...And how exciting it is when you drink $10 bottles and find good ones...mostly shiraz and pinot noirs I find...we have wine parties at my one friends house and we all bring a bottle, the only rule is that is has to be 10$ and under...it is cool, we eat drink all the wines, (and find out what cheap ones are fantastic!) and then watch the Simpsons or swim. I wish you could come.

Damn, my tummy hurts.
Had a lovely Pinot Noir last night,
opened bottle and voila! instantly drinkable...I love that
paired with pigs in a blanket
Our fridge is bare! But I always have time to get wine...
need to go shopping this weekend.
Had a 97 bordeaux the other day...we thought it was kinda funky and only drank a little, and then 24 hours later...after "breathing" we sampled again....very interesting...it had totally opened up and it was THE most floral wine I have ever tasted...lavender, violets, rose...the notes were incredible. It felt like I had a bouquet (ha ha a bad wine joke I didn't mean) in my mouth! Very very interesting...I don't usually go for the florals, but this was nice...like opium den heady nice.
I think I am takin gyour advice from a long time ago and renting a piano...I may have it by this weekend....
