Mwah haha hahahaha...
I'd forgotten I could dial into my university. The problem is that it's long distance, so this will be my only journal update. I'll probably check my mail and journal once per day and then hop off.
I'm on a 33.6 modem.
I can't remember the last time I dialed up at 33.6. 1998, perhaps?
I have a larger social life up here, for some reason. A friend in Detroit called me around dinner time to see if I wanted to come out for a booty call (he didn't know I was here), my long-lost-friend-from-NMU-who-I-haven't-seen-or-talked-to-in-seven-years-and-now-lives-near-my-parents (we'll call him Chris from now on) called me to ask if I'd stay here through the weekend since he wants to see me, and another friend, who lives downstate sort of near me but has parents here, called to say he'd be in town this week and wanted to hook up. I haven't seen him in a year and a half, and we live 100 miles from each other. It figures we'd end up driving 300 miles to get together.
Today's activites: Making white chocolate coated pretzels, peanut butter cookies with chocolate chips, and seven layer cookies (a.k.a. When Sucrose Attacks), going to the library, vacuuming the house, shaking rugs out and washing them, and assisting Mum with gift wrapping. Dad has promised me his famous cheesy-salty popcorn (a.k.a. When Cholesterol Attacks) in return for doing the domestic stuff. The coolest thing is that I don't mind doing the domestic stuff, and I LOVE baking, but hey... I'll take the ooey-gooey cheesy snack.
Ava got zotted.
She was one of my dearest friends on SG. I'm sure there was a good reason, but it still makes me a bit sad.
This is going to be a great week -- family, old friends I haven't seen in ages, delicious food, and birthday money.

Glad to hear that you can still get on here. Like I said in my journal, I'm at the mercy of Time Warner cable right now, unfortunately. And I don't even have a phone linen at home (welcome to the digital age) so that's out. More SG from work! Less producitivity!
Hope you're having a good time up north. And what day is your birthday? My grandfather is turning 90 next week
And that's weird that Ava was zotted. I didn't know her very well (my only direct interation was being on opposites sides of a gun rights argument - go figure) but she seemed like a well-like member of SG. But really, it's none of my businesss.
Anyway, happy holiday, happy birthday, happy booty call.
Talk to you soon....
Booty call...must be nice. I could stand for a little of the old bumpin uglies right about now.
That really sucks about Ava...if you find out why, let me know.
Oh, Yule was a blast...you should have been there. Enjoy your time up north.
